Instead of posting a lot of food pictures where you wish to kill yourself because that looks so yummy and you are nearly starving, I thought I should open a thread (I hope there isn't already one) where someone posts his/her favourite recipes for whatever with steps and everything so that everyone could cook or bake them at home. Pictures of the result would be nice.

I'm starting (because I don't just want to get your recipes, I want to give you mine too) with a "Melonpan" recipe
So you need:
475g flour, more than 100g sugar, 100g butter, 90ml water,
21g yeast, 1 egg, one pinch of salt and if you want to some marmalade or something to fill in, or some aromas.

1. step
You have to put 50g of the cold butter, 100g sugar, 175g flour and the egg in a bowl and then you have to knead it all to a smooth dough. Attention! You have to be fast, or the butter will get too soft. After that roll it up in cling film and put it in the fridge
2. step
Put the rest of the flour, the salt and the rest of the butter in an other bowl,
3. step
Take the yeast and one teaspoon sugar and put it in the warm water. Then you have to pour it, bit for bit, over the dough from the 2. step and knead it again. Then part the dough into about 8 round balls. If you want to put marmalade or something in, then fill it in now. After that you put it onto a baking plate (don't forget baking paper). Wet every ball with some water and then let them go on a warm place for about 15 minutes.
4. step
Take the dough from the 1. step out of the fridge and part it also in 8 5mm thick flat pieces.
5. step
Now take out the dough from the 3. step and put the dough from the 4. step over it like a helmet ( so that you can't see anything from the other dough anymore).
6. step
Take a knife and carve some lines (so that it looks like a melon) onto it. Attention! Not too deep, you shouldn't see the other dough).
7. step
Now put some sugar onto a plate and dip every piece in it.
8. step
Put them on the baking plate again and let them go 30 minutes at a warm place.
9. step
Heat the oven to 180°C (or 453,15K) and bake them about 10 minutes. After that you have to put aluminium foil over it and bake it for about 10 minutes again.

I think that's it. They are really yummy, so it's worth a try.
Please post your favourite recipes too (but not only baking stuff, everything would be nice). Thank you in advance. And sorry that I failed by carving in the lines at the most (it was my first try).

I would recommend using ctrl+f on the view all threads next time.
