Just spreading the love for this one since it's still not super well-known among most circles I run in (I am spreading the word!!). Very excited for when it hits streaming, and for the upcoming sequels.
Hey, is this thread still active? I’m a big fan of the series and watched both movies and still waiting on the third one if anyone wants to talk about it.
I really like the anime and I love this film. It's really well animated, have a great style and a very interesting history. I really recommend it, I'm glad to see people talking about it.
It's an anime I love, but can never bring myself to recommend, it's a nuanced taste like sourcrout. Not all anime is meant for everyone, but small groups have such a strong passion, that is something I don't regret. This anime is short and sweet, yet sublime.. I don't want to see it reproduced.. just... Be..
It is a novel which got adapted to tv series, anime and manga. This thread is for the tv series of it. I couldn't find a thread about it so I decided to make one and I think that people who like drrr might like this one too. It has 11 episodes and about a man whose new friend got murdered and the troubles he gets in while trying to find the murderer. The series has gang involvements and 00s vibes therefore I found it kinda similar to drrr (tho It's my opinion and open to discussion).
I might have explained it badly but I absolutely adore this serie and I would love to talk about it with people who watched it. I hope that the people who hasn't watched it yet, takes an interest in it from my (bad) explanation and watches it. I know many people would love it!!!!
I watched the anime, I heard it's different from the series and manga, might give the other two a shot, oh and I watched it cus it reminded me of Durarara.
How was it? I wanted to see it when it was out in theaters but I missed it unfortunately, there was a lot I wanted to go see but between hangouts and other things the only movie I watched in theaters this summer was JJK Hidden Inventory. I hear Phoenician Scheme is good, but with most modern Wes Anderson movies kinda mixed as well, I plan to see it when its on streaming, but I know that might be a while. Whats your favorite Wes Anderson movie though? mine is Asteroid City, I still need to go through his list and watch The Grand Budapest hotel. I have my ties to theater and so I connect with the actors when they are being actors and how characters are developed. Im a sucker for the south west too, esp with Wes' style.
Any upcoming movies you excited about? I'm hyped for Superman, always been a huge dc & marvel fan! And of course im definitely excited for Batman! My favorite superhero next to the Green Arrow fr lol! I grew up with Sonic too im excited for Sonic 4! How about you? What are you excited for? ~starlord
>>1 Have you seen the new Superman movie yet? I thought it was great!
The movies I'm looking forward to watching are "Supergirl" of course and "Rental Family".
Japanese rental company hires struggling American actor in Tokyo. He plays various roles in clients' lives, embarking on an introspective journey through these unlikely experiences.
Has anyone some movie, shows or anime recommendations? I'd love to watch something that's on the creepy or horror side but not jumpscares. More like something on the psychological side. Any ideas or favorites?
Anime: Psycho pass, parasyte, hell girl, zetsubou sensei, monogatari series, junji ito series, another, erased, when they cry series etc. As for movies and and shows, honestly I don't know, I only know the scary ones that have jumpscare. I can reassure you there's no jumpscare on my recommendation list

I heavily recommend Twelve Angry Men (1957) its one of my favorite movies. I really like how they manage to make so much intrigue and character development with very little information.

Have you ever wondered what Turkish humor looks like? If so, Recep İvedik is a great place to start!
Recep İvedik is one of Turkey's most iconic comedy films, starring Şahan Gökbakar as the unforgettable Recep. The movie revolves around an eccentric, loud, and often socially awkward character who finds himself in hilarious and absurd situations. Recep's over-the-top personality and exaggerated behaviors make him both relatable and incredibly entertaining.
While the humor might seem unique to Turkish culture, many of the themes—like family bonds, societal expectations, and clumsily navigating life's challenges—are universally relatable. The movie mixes slapstick comedy with witty observations about daily life, offering a light-hearted experience that anyone can enjoy.
If you're looking to explore something new and have a good laugh, Recep İvedik could be your next watch! Just be prepared for a wild ride filled with lots of quirky moments and larger-than-life comedy.
Have you seen it before? What did you think? Let’s discuss!
The First rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club The Second rule of fight club is you DO NOT talk about fight club The Third rule of fight club is if someone says "stop", goes limp or tap out, the fight is over The Fourth rule of fight club is only two guys to a fight The Fifth rule of fight club is one fight at a time The Sixth rule of fight club is no shirts no shoes The Seventh rule of fight club is the fights will go on as long as they have to The Eighth rule of fight club is if it's your first night at fight club you HAVE to fight.
While this movie really is incredible, I feel like it is constantly overrated. In a completely unrelated note, has anyone of you so called "die-hard fans" read the book or new comic?
I see in the fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars, advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of the history man, no purpose or place, we have no Great war, no Great depression, our great war is a spiritual war, our great depression is our lives, we've been all raised by television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't and we're slowly learning that fact. and we're very very pissed off.
