Duty After School is a Korean Webtoon created by Ha Il-Kwon. In this story, strange, blobbish life forms referred to as "cells" have suddenly appeared on earth, and they are so widespread and so dangerous that even high-schoolers are being conscripted to fight them. You follow the mishaps of a certain senior class throughout this story. With the character you will later on forget was supposed to be the protagonist, Chi Kim.
The students being just that students weren't taking it too seriously at first. They were in fact not taking it seriously at all. To make them work to some extent they were told this "Training" / "Fighting" would take the place of the exams. Via they would get points, lose points etc. depending on their actions. It was all groaning and bitching till someone from the class was impaled and killed by a cell. Then another, and another and another. As their class mates start dying like animals around them. The care for points went through the roof. It was all about surviving as of then.

This is seriously an excellent webtoon. Ha Il-Kwon is one of my favourite comic artists on webtoon, and this has to be his best work by far ( He is also the author of the highly praised webtoons Annarasumanara and God of Bath.) The manhwa has realistic depictions of the characters, their personalities and their actions are all one point and are seemingly things any teen ager may have done in said situation. It has a good build up, it may be slightly boring and or mundane? at first but yes. It gets better. Also has this lovely trait. Absolutely anyone can die, where ever, whenever, whoever. For the characters that do last longer then ten to twenty chapters, you will start to feel attached to them in some way. Or at least I did. Their relationships that obviously shift and either improve or get worse are not forced either. I like that. The art is obviously smooth and clean. This is a serious must read. It currently has over 40 Chapters so give it a go.
