I don't understand how there can NOT be a Jojo thread here?!

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an ongoing manga by Araki Hirohiko which features the 8 descendants of the Joestar family in their, yes, very bizarre adventures. Now don't get me wrong. It might sound like crap, but this manga has been running for 27 years. It's so popular that it's passed out of the mainstream and newfags have never heard of it.

Basically the manga is currently split into 8 'Parts', each featuring a different descendant. The first Part, Phantom Blood, follows Jonathan Joestar's fight against his archenemy Dio Brando, who happens to turn into a vampire. He does this through utilisation of a technique called the 'Ripple'.
Later, in Parts 3+ the Ripple is scrapped pretty much and replaced with powers called 'Stands'. Stands are physical manifestations of your life energy, and have their own unique powers - there's a Stand that can make any non-living object into a living being, one that can erase time, one that only exists in a mirror, one that can make things soft - the most bizarre things you've ever seen. In Part 7 something called the 'Rotation' is also introduced but that's getting too far ahead of myself.
Anyway Jojo is immensely good, 100% recommend. It also has an anime adaptation of Parts 1&2 that was released in 2012 as well as an ongoing Part 3 adaptation that is currently on break but will resume next year.
There are Jojo references in everything, so if you don't read it you're missing out on a lot. Also the poses.
About the author (Araki Hirohiko) - he was one of five comic book artists selected to create an original work to be displayed in the Louvre. Yes, the museum where the Mona Lisa hangs. One of five in the whole world. He's also done collaborations with Gucci.
