Code Breaker is about a girl named Sakurakouji Sakura. She seems quiet and modest, but in reality she is a skilled martial artist. One day, while she's in class, she looks out the window to the park across the street and sees a boy murdering a group of people by setting them on fire.
She goes to the park the next day, and there is no evidence of a fire. Nada. None. Shes a little confused.
Theres a new transfer student named Oogami Rei. Its the same boy she saw set those people on fire!
Rei seems polite, but hes very distant and not very friendly. Sakura follows him around and finds out he is a Code Breaker, or "one that does not exist". He is a cold-blooded killer that follows the policy of "an eye for an eye" to eradicate bad guys.
Convinced that killing is not right under any circumstance, Sakura sets out to stop him and be his friend.

Bumping over stupidity

Code: Breaker is pretty cool. I didn't expect it from the summary on mangareader, but it ended up being a well-drawn fighting manga with a few touching points and an annoying main character. It had a lot of corny peptalks and cheesy one-liners. Despite the serious story, I cracked up more than once from jokes that probably weren't that funny xO There are several unexpected plot twists so far, but they're not well-placed, in my opinion. The story is a little choppy. Still, it's interesting, and I reccomend it to anyone who likes slightly shoujo-styled art with a bit more action, plot twists and magic.
