The hair consists of 4 different colours. I first just apply them to the hair until it looks ok, then i go over it with a watercolour brush to make it look smoother. Same story with the face ^^

Since you've started art before, you've got a 'head-start' so to say. I've only been drawing anime properly without any external references since the start of the year, time isn't an issue.

If you really wanna be good at art, you'll have the motivation to keep it up; you won't make it by half-assing it. If you really want it, then take it, m80. Don't just draw, but study drawing and improve!

To draw hair, I think it's important first to map out the surface of the skull so you understand it in 3d. Then start sprouting the hair out of the head in a fringe, side parts, and top, noting how gravity is affecting how the hair falls. I like to draw hair in little sections with whispy tips.

In Touhou lore, the Oni used to live on the surface, reigning over Tengu and humanity. They then decided to move underground by their own will once Hell was relocated. This drawing depicts a world where they were forced underground instead.
Imagery:
The red hole is shaped as the head of an Oni, the single front horn with a star represents Yuugi, while the two horns to the side represent Suika. The Pyramid on the chain at the bottom also represents Suika, along with the broken gourds on the chin area. Breaking this chain frees the surface world from the Oni’s tyranny.
The red horns can also be seen as rivers of blood which originate from burned forests, which represents the destruction of the Tengu and their homes. The paper seal along the throat represents aid from the Miko (humans), allowing the Tengu to cut the Oni’s chains to the surface.
The spear is adorned with a Vajra symbol, symbolizing the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force). The bells on her ankles ward away evil spirits and help to call the Black Koi to her aid. Black Koi are associated with successfully overcoming an obstacle. In this case, it represents overcoming the Oni's oppression of the Tengu. The title of this drawing is "Banishing the Oni".
That was my interpretation, however all interpretations are equally as valid.
