(S.I.T.) The Story Idea Thread (28)

1 Name: Thiamor !yZIDc0XLZY : 2012-09-13 17:08 ID:Hd1ha89R [Del]

I've talked to Chrome and he stated to me that there is no such topics here on Literature for posting/sharing ideas for stories you may have, for opinions and such.

I've also looked before asking him, to make sure.

Anyway, this topic is for you to share story ideas, character ideas, setting ideas and so on.

Sit a spell, and enjoy the "Story Idea Thread".

i think its a bad idea cuz someone could steal your work...im not saying that everyone is like that but there are people who would do that

3 Name: Thiamor !yZIDc0XLZY : 2012-09-13 20:14 ID:Hd1ha89R [Del]

Quite a bit of people post stories on here. I do to. If you worry about people stealing your stuff, you're on the wrong site.

Not to mention you must not know laws good. If you have a date proving you had the idea or story first, it's yours. Dates hold up in court.

>>2 If you're that concerned, just don't post those ideas here.

Simple as that.

I think it's a nice idea for those who have none.

I remember, as I told Chrome this idea like yesterday or a day before, about a story I had to try to claim back the fans of old Vampire lore, with a fresh new take on it, a bit.

The story would be called "REVamped", and it tells the story of a man who was turned into a vampire by the first ever vampire.

When turned into a vampire, from a vampire of such thick bloodline, it changes your whole set up. It basically turns you into a full blooded vampire, rather than dilute your blood so you're a mindless drone.

That entails you have great powers over darkness, great speed, strength, a powerful mind and so on. Able to walk in sunlight.

Anyway, the main character is not a "Dark Hero" or anything like that. For example. Hellboy, Ghost Rider, Blade. He is only searching to kill the Vampire that did this to him.

He kills humans without a second thought. Not caring about who it is, or why he is doing it. He'll hurt women, torture them and the men, and scare children half to death, thinking that with a fucked up mind set that he has placed on them they will live a torturous life.

Basically his only companions are 2 darker than night, Rottweilers turned vampire.

I'll explain more as I revise the idea some more. This was just a general concept.

But I did want to make it that a true vampire can control whether or not those they drain either die, or becomes a vampire.

Plus, I'll be changing the name of vampires of dilute blood to something else. Like Peons, or 'The Dilute', because in this story idea, they're so diluted in their blood line, they aren't really vampires. Just blood craving zombies, more or less, who take on weaker vampire attributes.

^Seems you thought this out pretty well.

I have an idea for a new way to tell a story, probably a novel.

Take two characters. Start narrating each character's plot from a first person perspective, from both sides. In other words, you can open the back cover and flip the book so you can read left to right. The ending will hence be in the middle, with the characters meeting each other only in the last pages (the middle of the book).

Think of it as a plot with two POV characters who are involved in a single story from different perspectives, without any contact between them.

>>7 That reminds me of Sai from Naruto. He pretty much drew a book like that. From left to right, he drew himself fighting a new person on every double page spread. On the first single page it was just a picture of him. From right to left, he drew this guy that he thought of as a brother fighting a different person on each double page spread. On the first single page, he drew a picture of the guy he thought of as a brother. In the middle, he drew a picture of them holding hands or something like that.

>>7 It's been done before :l And it SUCKS to read (although the shitty story of the book I read probably doesn't help). If I can remember the title, I'll tell you. All I remember is that there was a duck on the cover and it was about preteen romance o-O'

"Only Revolutions" has that idea. And it's really diffcult to read. The idea is nice but the result... is a different story.

11 Name: Thiamor !yZIDc0XLZY : 2012-12-25 01:12 ID:dqEutSDd [Del]

I've come to a sort of "stand-still" with my REVAMPED story. I know the general plot in which I wish to follow, but I wish to add more conflict than just which I have already plotted out. I want the land to be developed more. I want it surrounded in constant conflict to show the true, cold emotion that is the world of Revamped. I want people to sit and read it and think to themselves that "This shit is twisted, and it just keeps on coming!"

But I'm not sure how to go about it. I do know that you get that dark, twisted feeling when you think of a world that's outer layer is covered is other layers of metal and machinery.

Basically the world itself was converted into a steampunk orb, if you will. Water contaminated, nasty, stale. Warm. Gusts of wind were hot, smelled of death and boiling oil. But I feel I want to toss this world into a massive war with everyone else.

Basically all other groups fight themselves and everyone else. Robbing people. Killing people. Raping people. Eating people. Beating people. Torturing people. But that's as far as I've got. It's a very futuristic world, so I already thought of the war machines they use, though.

Anyone who wishes to read it thus far, can at the following link:

>>11 I've started a horror story thing in class. If you want to add more "Twisted Stuff" then you might want to try some horror genre stuff, or terror. (horror is more blood and guts and terror is more psychological.) Just a hint. I hope it helps. I'll read you story and see if I can give you anymore ideas if you want.

Well I guess, I've started a story called "Snowfury". I think that it's pretty good, but I have hit a dead end type thing. I might post part of it later. I would love for some help from people here! This is a great place to share ideas.

I'm writing a story about another world filled with lands each varying greatly in their flora and fauna. There is one Warden of Time and Space named Lord Dim who stays mainly dormant and leaves his 15 children to run a section of the land each in his stead. Anyway the story is about youngest of the demigods, one named Shadowlord Solace who hadnt discovered which land to Warden yet and for that was mocked and patronised. Lord Dim sends him on a journey to uncover some treachery in The Shadowlands, (currently without a natural born Warden) and to possibly find his place there. First half of his story is him traveling across the land in disguise to reach The Shadowlands, meeting different characters along the way and such. When he reaches there (Long story but he loses his powers) And gets hunted by the shadowlands guard (Called the Shifters). He is on the run with a Fire Wraith, a Night waif and an un-blooded vampire. They eventually come back to the city, raise a rebellion, overthrow the tyrant, he becomes leader, gets his power back and such.
Its still very general though so if you guys have any ideas about things to shift or change about it I would be grateful.

15 Name: Nato !hQPz52AA/. : 2012-12-27 01:47 ID:u1xNpbE3 [Del]

>>14 I believe that a general outline is a lot more useful at this stage than something too specific - it gives you the opportunity to let the characters come alive and start to make choices by themselves (sounds cheesy, but it really does happen.) If there's anything I could suggest, it's to not forget the internal conflict - Shadowlord Solace has to have some sort of problem, and I see great potential in the whole non-Warden mockery and patronizing. Make sure that you have a resolution for that somewhere in the story, and make it before the final confrontation (which would be the resolution of the external conflict.) If Sir Solace can use his newfound confidence and/or sense of belonging during the pivotal moment, it will make the story much more satisfying to the reader.

Prepare yourself for a long summary of my visual-novel-in-progress, Seven Deaths.

In my case, one of the ideas I've had for quite some time is to write my own visual novel. Stories like Clannad were a major part of shaping my otaku nature, and since I'm a self-proclaimed writer I thought it would be a good idea to make my own visual novel. I've looked at Ren'Py and familiarized myself with the scripting, and I also know a few people that could help with backgrounds and sprites, but I'm still in the process of creating the separate arcs. It's a dating type game with one male protagonist and several female heroines, and it will be almost entirely text and menu based, with little to no stats or other RPG elements in it.

The concept of the setting is this: whenever a person dies, they have a chance of becoming a spirit. Spirits can exist on both the spirit plane (where they can move through objects and essentially teleport) and on the living plane. Spirits can also switch between the two at will. People that are alive do not know about the existence of spirits and cannot interact with them.

A spirit's purpose is simple - each spirit can save a total of seven people from dying. When in the spirit plane, a spirit can "sense" when a living mortal is about to die, and if they choose to do so, prevent their death. A spirit can prevent seven deaths in this way, and once the seventh death is prevented, the spirit vanishes from existence permanently.

Spirits can choose to use this power in a variety of ways. Some spirits simply drift around, looking for people to save. Others follow people that they were close to in life and protect them. There are even some that pledge themselves to teaching new spirits about their powers. However, in all cases, spirits lead a quiet life with a few other friends, unable to enjoy the pleasures of the living world or the company of the people they left behind.

Tekka, the main protagonist, starts out the game as a spirit with no memory of his life, only his name. After learning about the spirit world from a kind girl who becomes his mentor, Tekka offhandedly saves the life of a young girl attempting to commit suicide. After saving her, the unthinkable happens: the girl, Syrika, is able to sense Tekka's presence.

Thus, Tekka, Syrika, and a few others both living and dead gather together to try and solve the mystery of Tekka's unique case and shrouded past, all the while enjoying something that most spirits never achieve - friendship.

The game features five female heroines - Syrika, the special girl that can sense and talk to Tekka; Elizabeth, the mentor to Tekka and a very collected spirit; Jane, a friend of Syrika's that committed suicide and is now a regretful spirit; Kouko, a solemn teenager that can also sense Tekka after being saved by him; and Kate, a spirit that also has a living brother she has vowed to protect. There are three additional arcs that do not end in getting a girlfriend - Helena, a spirit who watches over her fiancé and wishes he would move on; Erik, the living brother of Kate who is in desperate need of a stable family; and Reed, the good-natured yet foolish friend of Elizabeth that has a secret he wants to overcome.

The visual novel is split into two different sections - the main portion that contains all of the arcs and has many good and bad endings, and the second portion, which serves as a continuation of Tekka and Syrika's story and has a bad and a good ending, the latter of which is only unlocked after passing certain requirements in the game. (Basically, the structure is a lot like Clannad if you've ever played it.)

My end goal is to have this up to above-industry-standard; 100% original artwork, an official soundtrack, sophisticated graphics, hundreds of possible paths, eight main story arcs, and at least 100 hours of play time.

So. After reading that, I'm curious - what are you impressions of it? What do you want to know further? And probably most importantly, would you find it interesting?

16 Name: Anonymous : 2012-12-27 06:21 ID:y69XLMj9 [Del]

The general gist I got from that story was an original, spiritual concept which could be used to open up many aspects of philosophical debate much like the anime Ghost in The Shell. If you have seen Corpse Princess the story type is slightly similar to that just less action. The general gist in CP is a select number of undead teenage females killing monsters and other undead to save humans from them. I like the completeness of the story and I think the only thing it could use would be character development, which is very hard to add into the general synopsis.
The main flaw I had with Clannad was how it built up such utter happiness then crushed it so horribly. Try keeping that kind of toying with the watchers emotions out of it and instead add in more mellow aspects of that (unless that is what you are aiming for)
In general I liked the originality, the story aspects and the philosophical concepts it could open up (What is life, What is the soul ect) And if I saw it I would probably most likely want to know lots about the characters, with side options in the game to know more about them and to ask about the backstory. I would find it very interesting.

In the early 2100's, the world is running out of resources, first contact (or a very botched one) was established, and humanity is trying to build a star-fleet. This is a military and science based society, so war is a common theme.

It takes place in a very secluded area, a special military school. Students with exceptional skills or talents, or other attributes are sent here, as well as disorderly and mean ones. This school is more or less it's own city, actually. There is a decent sized downtown, a large residential area, student housing, shops, club buildings, ect. The school itself is located about a mile outside the city limits, in a large plains area. The school has an air field, training grounds, and other facilities for training. The town has a population of about 30,000, with about 97% of it being students. Most work is automated, and the only real jobs for adults is teaching. The city is run by the Student Council, and order maintained by a small SWAT club.

Instead of classes like History, shop, and PE, students take Military History, Maintenance, and Rifle Drill. Students with crippling disabilities or injuries can take classes and work in intel and logistics.

Students are split into squads, with each squad having around three to five people. Each squad has it's own housing outside of town.

Instead of sports, their war simulations, which are very popular among the students. The most popular one is WARGAMES, which is televised live across the town on Friday nights. In WARGAMES, two or more teams fight in a large arena, which is actually a bombed out, abandoned town. They play a variety of games, including deathmatch, CTF, CTL, and domination. To keep things interesting, a rampant AI controls most of the machinery and electronics in town, so at any given time, there could be a blackout, elevators could crash or stop, security systems could activate, ect. There are also many traps, like car-bombs, pits, electro-gates, and sentry guns. Nobody dies in WARGAMES, but there are injuries. Each team is given a ranking, and recieve points if they win. The points are divided among squad, and then by student. There is a scoring system, and points are regarded as a status symbol. For students who don't fancy WARGAMES, there are also martial arts, computers, and in-city cases. SWAT students can undertake cases in the city.

The Story would follow a three person squad.

Merriam- Britain, Army/intel, starfleet.

The undisputed leader of the squad, "Marry" is upbeat, a good thinker, and always calm. She is a good soldier, and pulls her friends out of many situations. She specializes in Army and Intel, and is destined for the new Star-Fleet.

She has high grades and recieved a special scholarship.

Kristov- Russia, RU/US JFW, Air Force.

He is a normal guy of Russian descent. He loves jets and airplanes, and wished to be a great fighter pilot. He is easy-going, but loves war stuff, and plays on the blue team in WARGAMES, with Marry as his partner. He is the joker of the group. He has a girlfriend, who works in Intel with Marry.

Kai- Japan, JGSDF, Army.

Kai is the oldest member of the squad. She doesn't hate the other two, but is usually indifferent or hostile towards them. She actually recieves decent grades, but her hostility sent her here. She is on the Student Council, but doesn't take part in WARGAMES. She is tough, and enjoys fighting. She usually hangs out with the other bad kids and outcasts downtown near the MA club building. She does share some interests with Kristov, however.

Amy- US, US/RU JFW, Intel.

Amy is Kristov's girlfriend. She is calm, nice, modest, and very outgoing.

The direct opposite of Kristov.

She always wears clunky metal leg braces, due to a childhood disease. She often complains of her legs aching, or not being able to run due to her braces. Kristov is very protective of her, and often gets hostile towards people who don't like her, even close friends. Amy is sometimes embarrassed by this, but still loves him.

She, like Marry, was offered a scholarship, and has good grades. She is in a different squad then the other three.

18 Name: Tsukkuyomi : 2012-12-28 01:39 ID:gicowU5L [Del]

I normally only talk to my RL friend about my stories but as I do trust the people here on this site and would LOVE more feedback (my friends are great but not at giving me feedback -w-; ) so here I go:

The city of Kagerou, a peaceful and normal enough city where the days are no more strange than any other places; split between the new city where everyone lives and the old city which is mostly ruins, it has it's own secrets.
The boarding school known as Fujiwara Academy, a place for all who wish to learn and be around people like them; with it's separate buildings for classes ranging from preschool level (which along with the kindergarten does not allow for boarding) to the university division, with the high school as it's main area, it's almost a world of it's own.
Normality seems to be abundant here and when Tsukkuyomi Kokuryuu ends up transferring there she thinks only of two things; one being how it will be nice to actually be able to have a normal life like that, the other why her twin brother Akito who was already a student at Fujiwara had disappeared. And how. Unfortunately upon solving one murder case, involving a cellist with bad intentions and an old incident that has come back to bite a few people in the butt, she is informed by a strange boy dressed as a phantom thief that nothing is as it seems and she is not headed for the normality she hopes for. Upon her next case she comes face to face with the supernatural in the form of a boy with the power to bring literary characters out of books, a few literary murders, the Mad Hatter and his Cheshire Cat love. Tsukkuyomi is now fully aware that Kagerou isn't normal, that Fujiwara isn't normal, and although with every fiber of her being she wants to run away, she doesn't want to face these strange events and the things that may or may not be human, she is forced forward into the world of abnormality; at least though she'll have friends along for the ride.

Specifically the story idea I have is for the next story (the cellist story and the literary story have already been written and I'm hesitant to post them); a few weeks after her confrontation with the culprit of the second case, Tsukkuyomi is approached by one of the few people she knows as a friend in the school, a jittery boy by the name of Kiyoshi. He asks her to help him with something, namely the disappearances of some of his own friends. Looking a little more into it, she finds out that all the students who have disappeared had something in common, two phrases: "the Night Game" and "midnight".
She finds out more quickly enough; the Night Game is just that, a game, played during the full moon in the abandoned ruins of old Kagerou. Those who wish to play go to the temple that stands on the hill between the two areas and leave the shreds of a letter on which they write their request to join; if accepted they find a ghostly silver flower on the windowsill of their dorm room, left with a note that tells them to go to the temple by sundown of the full moon along with three people they trust enough to put their lives in. The game itself is played in a combination of hide and seek, tag and a scavenger hunt; an orb is left somewhere in ancient Kagerou which the players must find, whichever team finds it and gets it to a specific point first and manages to protect it there until sunrise wins. What do they win? No one really knows; no one really knows if anyone has ever won for no one who came back ever talks about it. The four members of the team have specific jobs; the leader, the one given the flower, is one of the two Silencers, ones whose job it is to fight and protect the orb from other teams; then there is the Seeker who are somehow given the power to sense the orb's location to a certain degree, the Retriever who is the only one allowed to touch the orb itself and the other Silencer. Together they must survive, together they must move as an unit, and only together can they win; Tsuki gets a flower and brings along the mysterious occult club Kristoph, the disciplinary committee leader Aqua and the mischievous catboy Cheshy as her teammates. She doesn't look to win or lose, simply to find out the truth; but when the sun sets and the game is started, she soon enough finds out that winning might be the only way to be able to find out anything and survive to when the sun rises.

The characters are Tsukkuyomi- A strong-willed and still a bit hesitant Eleventh grader turned detective. Her father was a world-famous private investigator and a very good man before his murder; she has inherited his skills and his sword but she doesn't really want to be a detective. She does want to find her brother though and she does want to help people so she's gotten sucked into another case; she doesn't much like the phantom thief Gemini who keeps showing up to tell her things.
Kazuya- Hot-tempered, foul-mouthed and wielding a rather dangerous European-style longsword, Kazuya acts as a violent version of Watson to Tsukkuyomi's hesitant Holmes. His sister was the cellist who was murdered but he doesn't like being reminded of that. Hates all this detective stuff but can't be bothered to leave Tsuki to deal on her own and get herself hurt despite the fact that he has almost been shot already, been threatened by Sweeney Todd and a mini-Red Queen, and been knocked out before.
Kristoph-A mystery in himself, he was involved in the first case but not the second. He finds Tsukkuyomi amusing and obviously knows more about the supernatural than he lets on; he is a member of the occult club after all. He helps out Tsukkuyomi mostly for fun maybe but more than likely is doing it because he has his own agenda. His heterochromic eyes tend to put people off and scare them.
Aqua-The bad-tempered but good-natured leader of Fujiwara Academy's high school division disciplinary committee, a strange position for a girl in her first year of high school. S he hates the student council president, the feeling is mutual, but like tsukkuyomi despite her friendship with said president. Aqua follows along on this adventure mostly to find out why HER students keep disappearing.
Cheshy-The Cheshire Cat though he does enjoy his human form, loves the Mad Hatter and despises the idea of getting his hands dirty with blood. Which is why he didn't kill anyone before and has since been allowed to stay in the "real" world. He, like Kristoph, has his own reasons for becoming a part of this case and is not about to really explain anything but heck, he's the Cheshire Cat; being cryptic is part of what makes him him.

(Hm, probably looks like a mess but oh well; more details will be divulged if asked ^w^)

Alright, so... I got tired of lying around whining about how I STILL don't have any internet and ended up working on a new story idea. It's not quite long enough for a book, so it'll be more of a short story, but I need some help with it. I don't know what era to put it in because I'm not particularly versed in Japanese history. The world is really fantasy, but since I'm using Japanese names and referring to Japanese mythology, I want to put in some features that fit a particular era.

Anyway, here's the general story idea-:

PART ONE

Finally, within the royalty of the demons, a flower-demon was born who was gifted with the ability to speak in both human and demon tongue (as well as the tongue of plants and animals). She was used as a negotiator between the warring parties once she was old enough to understand the gravity of the situation. As per a contract (a "treaty" of sorts) between the humans and demons, she would use her great royal powers to create a barrier which spiritually split the planet equally - half for the demons and half for the humans. She would periodically feed the demons some of her power and would tell the humans--unbiasedly--any information they wish to know.

She was nearly omniscient, for she drew her powers from the ten great trees whose roots held the earth together. She could hear the words of the plants and animals just as she understood the demonic gestures of her species and the odd babbling of humans. By tracing hearsay through the great roots which bound her to her barrier, she could find out any information she needed to.

It was a tiring job, and though she lived many years, unaging, she had a mentality of someone younger than herself, for she was never allowed to live outside of her small sepulcher. She had no experience in the real world.

Unfortunately, as many years passed and the original contractors deceased, the opinions of both parties changed. They wanted the barrier to be removed. They both wanted to exterminate the other and have the entirety of Earth for themselves.

Knowing that there would be much bloodshed (and she was a peaceful child who did not believe in hurting others), she refused, and despite being nothing but a flower in a human shape, her spiritual power was strong enough to keep both sides at bay.

That is, until a human prince found out that her powers came from the ten great trees. He ripped a piece of her skin off, which turned into a piece of petal that revealed her true from, and trapped it within a glass spike. He made a pendulum with it and followed its slight pull to the human priestesses who prayed to each of the great trees and found the great trees themselves.

One by one, he murdered them and soaked a dagger in each of their blood. He then used the daggers to cut out the hearts of the great "demon" trees and sealed the hearts away elsewhere, weakening and nearly killing nine of the ten trees. Before he could destroy the last one, he could feel that the barrier was about to break and the contract's consequences were about to begin and started to head towards the demon princess' sepulcher.

The contract's conditions were as follows: should this contract be prematurely terminated, the royals of both parties will be killed immediately, and suffering shall befall the guilty party at the great trees discretion.

Being a royal himself, he knew he didn't have time. Just as the barrier was breaking, used the final dagger to seal the weakened flower away. Moments later, the barrier broke, and all the royalty of either side disappeared. The event was known as the Great Shattering, and a long, bloody war proceeded it.

The demons slaughtered many humans, but in turn, the new generation of human priestesses learned to seal the demons away and did so. At the end, there were few of either species left. Unfortunately, the war wasn't the true reason.

PART TWO

After the great trees, their protectors, and their princess had been killed, the earth fell into ruin. The roots which once held it together were rotting, which created ravines through cities, erupted volcanoes, flooded and drained oceans, and caused general mayhem. Flowers, grasses, trees, et cetera stopped growing. The herbivores died, as did the creatures who ate them, as did the creatures who ate the creatures who ate them, and so on and so forth. It wouldn't be long before the humans themselves died out.

In desperation when the earth was nearing its final decline, the priestess who governed the shrine which held the body of the last priestess of the old age that "The Hero" (the prince) had killed contacted the prince of that particular kingdom (though it was little more than a large town after so many of its people had starved to death). Using her influence, she forcefully sent him off on a mission to find and unseal the demon princess.

Armed with only a weak horse and an odd pendulum that smelled of death, he went off on a long journey which eventually took him to a field of dying grasses. They were the first grasses he saw, and he was even more shocked when he saw weak insects hopping and fluttering about.

In the middle of it all was a large, dying flower. It had innumerable petals and stood three or four feet tall when it was withering. The pendulum shone bright, so he figured that was it. He unsealed the demon princess, named simply Hana, who awkwardly budded and bloomed into her human form. After he explained his reasons for being there, her hair (which had grown ridiculously long) was slowly absorbed as a power reserve until it was a normal length. She said they would retrieve the hearts of the other trees and that she would use the last of her powers to revive the tenth tree which had weakened over the years.

She also revealed that she was too weak to walk; when he tried to touch her legs, they started to crumble, though she could heal them again in a few moments. After bandaging them, the two left on a journey to find the hearts of the trees, Hana gradually getting weaker as the trees grew stronger.

Blahblahblah. Mild/barely existent sappy romance. Blahblahblah.

He asked why she was so young despite being so old. She said it was because, "I am a flower, and flowers merely bloom and wither. There is no inbetween state. A bud blooms into a flower. A flower then stays a flower until it dies. There is no room for me to age." Hence, the title of the story is, "Flowers Merely Bloom and Wither."

She gave her power to the last tree, and he saw her true, beautiful form as a flower before she withered away. The reserves of power she kept had healed him of all his wounds and, along with the trees, brought Earth back to a stable state once again.

He left the pendulum there and went back to his kingdom. Throughout the world, he was revered as a hero. Knowing it was over, he remarried (he was about 24 or so at the start of the story, so it wasn't odd for him to have a family shortly afterwards), although he at first had trouble getting used to life.

PART THREE

In Hana's place, another flower bloomed and birthed a child. Ten years after her birth (and after her mother's death), the child was lonely and had no one to speak with except the flowers (who only spoke of death) and the trees (who only spoke of war). The tenth great tree which had watched over her for so long told her a few years later that the pendulum that she held would lead her to, "someplace she belonged," for she was part human and could not live with the trees forever.

Armed with the pendulum, yet another soul went out on a journey. The pendulum lead her to her father's kingdom, though there were many pit-stops along the way. She would use the petal pendulum to judge a person's character, as well as how truthful they were being. She went through many odd events, often guided by a voice she could barely hear. The voice called her Ohana, and so it became the name which she called herself.

Over time, her powers began to develop, and she had little control over them. She was labelled as a demon and, after accidentally killing and hurting others, was chased out of most places. She became reserved and quiet, unwilling to confront others herself, though she still followed the little petal pendulum.

When she arrived at the new hero's kingdom, she was thrown into the fast-paced life of humans all over again, and she did her best to control herself.

AND MORE SHIT HAPPENS which I haven't figured out yet... But that's the general direction that the story is headed.

[ And don't bother trying to steal the idea, because I have well over half of it written out already. You can't beat me to the punch here :I ]

Hana and Ohana were originally fanfiction characters, but I felt like they deserved their own story, so this came about. But seriously. What style of era do you guys think this would fit best in (following the idea that the humans follow Japanese-esque traditions)?

I've had a story stuck in my head for a while but haven't really wanted to actually write it...

" a girl goes to another country for college and suddenly there is an alien invasion, the aliens do the usual stuff, killing, destroying, and kidnapping people. The people that are kidnapped are sold like scraps of meat, some into slavery, other for other things. In the process of being sold, the girl meets some other species of alien (different from the kidnappers) and they form this friendship like relationship. The girl gets sold to an alien research facility where she is probed and studied. *end of first book.*"
What do you think?

I've been working on one lately. Basically, Humanity abandoned Earth 40,000 years ago, and is now one of the most advanced and oldest races in the known universe. I wanted to do a sort of flip side to the classic sci-fi where humanity is the less advanced race.

The humans in the story can live for hundreds of years, and trillions of them live on huge ships that are part of the Inter-galactic Fleet. It's a largely militaristic-socialist society for the most part, though each ship in the fleet is like its own country, and governs itself independantly from other ships while still answering to the Fleet High Council.

However, because of the sheer size of the human empire, rebellions, piracy, slavery, and other illegal activities are rampant. Other races often live alongside humans as well.

There's two ideas I've been working on lately:

1. Prestige Academy.
This is basically an academy filled with only the elite of the elite. However, a particular someone with power allowed the arrival of talented yet poor students to enter. This caused the students to be split in half: Talented and Delinquent.
The name has nothing to do with personality but only refers to their power and status.
This is a love story between a talented and a delinquent.

The other one's much longer so I'll lay off for now. :3

There's a series I have been considering in making as games(in sequence):
A 15 year old boy name Virus finds himself with amnesia, who was knocked out and senses a sharp pain in his chest, which happens to be a gas bomb surgically inserted tightly shut with carbon dioxide inside. The ones responsible of the bomb inside of Virus is a group of surgeons that kidnapped him at the age of 7 to complete a project- a project to wipe the human race. No one know why they want to do this and Virus goes on his way figuring out clues about their dark past as he discovers his past.

In past I've already asked advice for a story prompt on the Literature board, but writing it down twice won't be bad, uh?

Maite is a beautiful looking top model in the high fashion industry. Her existence, though, is suffered. By her point of view her luxurious life is made up of men and women of low moral standards, ipocrisy, grudge, pretentious acts, ignorance, stereotypes...She is truly disgusted by humans, and she consider herself as a mere object, a product of this sickening society that cannot anymore feel anything but hate towards her "creator"...are even feelings real, or just the humans' weapon against boredom?
She commits suicide, letting herself fall from the top of the building. She wasn't really sad, or angry: she didn't even have a reason to die...but neither to live.
Or so Maite thought.
In the afterlife, she hears a voice in the dark. Someone, or something, wants her to regret her suicide, in order to reach the Nirvana. She doesn't regret anything: she found peace in that place made of darkness, away from every other person, away from her old life.
But the "voice" isn't satisfied: wasting a life is the greatest sin, and she doesn't even realize the entity of her mistake.
The Voice forces her to come back on the material world as a ghost which reflects partially her appearance as when she was looking like when she died: her bones cracked, her head open, no more with eyes.
Under the horrific form of a crashed girl with no eyes, walking all patched up with two canes, she must save the life of 20 other suicides in order to reach the Nirvana.
She'll be forced to help the same humans she hated in life...and she'll learn how to love the existence she had thrown away.

I plan to write this story as an introspective work, showing the worst of society but also the best of the people and all the important things it's worth living for.
Originally i wanted to make it as an art-comic book but i don't know if i could be able, it's hard work.
There will be a "Prelude" chapter and 40 other chapters: two each for every person.

...um...critiques?

I've actually got a few stories planned out for the illustrations being done.

First is Geist/Auge, which people should know of by now. The next is called "The World as it is", and then "Eight Sovereign".

The World as it is, takes inspriation from The Future Diary, which these 10 people are transported from their respected reality, into a break in time and space, a sort of pocket universe, where they will fight for a chance to start over in another person's life.

Eight Sovereign is the latest of the planned stories. It's about these 8 beings who control a portion of the world that they live in, and a man rises up to take on all of the Eight, one at a time.

There are really 7, then a Grandmaster which is the eighth ruler who controls the other 7. I took inspiration from Dragonball. 7 people to summon the eighth, most powerful being.

Destroy the Eighth and you obtain the power to control the world.

I plan to get all of my stories illustrated, and sold, thus becoming a professional writer and comic/manga creator/publisher. Thus using the money earned from that to finish Undead Atrocity.

I always had this idea of a story that brewed reminiscent of spice and wolf. Just a bit of a twist. The main female lead would be a young village girl who met some tragedy, and a wandering tinker and musician would stumble upon her and take her in. Then t would be all about their journeys through the different parts of the world, meeting different people, learning secrets, discovering lost treasures. It seems like a pretty standard trope for fantasy stories. But i thought about giving some interesting twists to it. What do you guys think?
