Nobody Knows(Hirokazu Koreeda), Tokyo Godfathers(Satoshi Kon), Kurosawa movies, Harakiri(Masaki Kobayashi), Still the Water (Naomi Kawase), After the rain or Ame agaru (Takashi Koizumi. Everyone of this movies are wonderful. They really are. If you ever watch some of this, pls post your review. I would be very happy to look to another perspective. Thank you.
Anything from Ghibli (guess I didn't even had to mention). From Satoshi Kon, I've watched Paprika, which is pretty amazing and bizarre, and Perfect Blue, an awesome psychological thriller. Another must-see movie is Akira, which is easily one of the best animated movies I've ever seen.

i would reccomend kaguya himeno monogatari, wolf children, summer wars and girl who leapt thrugh time (they are all animated) and if you still want more then just go watch all ghibli movies
