I can't believe nobody has actually done this one yet...long story short it's epic.
Basically the main character Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out from his orphanage and left starving, he wants to survive and so tries to steal of someone...it doesn't go as planned..i don't want to spoil anything but it goes uphill from there i guess?

This anime is so under the radar and it hurts because it's so good! The characters are amazing and the action is great. This anime exceeds in establishing the three main organizations and the conflicts between them, with each organization having a clear motivation, function, and purpose in the overall story, and it's amazing how well thought out they are. Highly recommend it to everyone!

I love this anime! I watched it a few years back and no one was really talking about it. I remember really loving the show, even though from what I remember, the protagonist was a bit uninteresting. The supporting cast (especially Dazai) were what really stuck with me. I should probably go rewatch it though because to be fair a couple of years ago I also thought that My Hero Academia and Fairytale were top tier anime sooo… yea. Also any news on a possible season four?

Totally agree with all of you. It's really sad that it's not that known and yet it's so nice! Yes, Atsushi at the beginning is a little annoying but then he gets better I think. Although, yes it's the other characters(Chuuya!!) and the story that made me stick to it.
For now, I don't think that they've announced something yet but until some weeks ago they were broadcasting BSD Wan! so I think that maybe now they'll think about it? Or maybe BSD Wan! was a way of buying time.

the speculation is that season 4 will come when the current manga arc is finished, because thats what happened with season 3. its very popular in japan though i so think theres a high chance of more seasons

Bsd is literally one of my most favourite anime! It makes me sad how underrated it is.

Whoever read the new updates, same. Tons of things happened n I'm still in denial. I read BSD wan to recover n have a lot of fluff inside. Anyway, BSD is a great anime n I enjoy Soukoku n Shin Soukoku, not in the shipping sense but as partners and enemies depending on time and circumstances. Who else wants to bask some more in the battles of Soukoku n Shin Soukoku? They r legit awesome, ask me.

Dang, I watched bsd on a whim while 'recovering' from heavier-hitting shows and it stuck with me for a surprisingly long time after I finished it... I think it's become my comfort anime lol

Interesting note: looking for animes that were similar to bsd led me to durarara, so without bungo stray dogs I wouldn't even be here typing this!

Other note: 100% would recommend this to anyone who likes durarara. Bsd is very similar in how it weaves various storylines/character interactions together; how most (if not all) the characters are part of a faction; the overall sorta-serious sorta-absurd sorta-comedic tone; etc. etc.

Oh what bungo stray dogs gets a 4th season? i need to reread the manga tho...

the manga is progressing very nicely and I'm sure the anime will be as good quality as the manga (except for the eye drawings)

Season 4 has just started. I'm suprised more people haven't watched this, its great.

In season 2 I still can't believe that the Fitzgerald as able to possible defeat Cthulhu because he had a contract with it so how did he gain that contract if he didn't prove his power someway? I nknow it's never called Cthulhu and only referred to as Lovecraft, but come on we all saw its true form and in season 3 they confirm the divine realm exists within the first 3 episodes. My favorite Lovecraft scene is when Q goes up to him to try and show him madness and I'm sitting at home watching that thinking "bro! It's cthulhu, he's madness embodiment.no human can mess with his mind." And true to my thoughts Lovecraft turns to Q and says something about showing him true madness.

Beside Lovecraft my favorite character is Fitzgerald. I loved his Comeback story in season 3, felt like a Rockey movie and I've never seen any of those films. I also love Fitzgerald's attitude, his personality is great.

I got so sad when the new season ended but I’m glad to know the the next part is coming real soon. The color choices were pretty cool.
