Let me let my idea out (20)

In anime, no matter the race of the character, they always speak Japanese (except on rare occasions).

What IF :

Someone released an anime that combined multiple languages- with subtitles -. If a character is Japanese- They'd speak Japanese. If a character is American- They'd speak English. If a character is French- They'd speak french. So on so forth.

I was watching Black Lagoon when I thought of this. People were German but they spoke fluent Japanese. Same with Balalaika, she was Russian. I think this is an awesome idea. It might cost a lot though, and require a lot of planning. This probably won't happen but it's nice to let people know about a possibility such as this.

Also, sometimes I forget to click the "I'm not a robot" thing and lose all of the things I write. Oops.

>>1 Mainly because all anime companies find it cheaper to record local voice actors and their main target viewing audience are Japanese people first and all other second.

Take for example the anime "chrome regain shell" it had Japanese voice actors doing English in the small t.v series with in the anime.

Yes they could do what you are asking but it would have to be a very damn popular manga first to then be made into the anime you want, and then we would have to wait for the dubs.

You likely will have notice that they do seems to use a lot of odd bits and pieces of other languages in anime I,e "Blue Exorcist" Mephisto Pheles counts in German, ect

It's so obvious you've been watching hetalia you skrub. Go read proper world history.

If animes started doing this I would probably hang myself.

>>3 wow harsh much
I think it would be cool if companies could do this especially with an anime like hetalia (maybe they could do it as like a special event or something) but I agree it will also probably never happen bc it would be really expensive and stuff

>>3 Never seen Hetalia, just thought I could share this thought of mine. Sorry not sorry.

No, because no one could watch that shit. I mean, 1 character is going to speak in a language most the viewers don't know, how the fuck are they gonna make any money?

I'm not %100 sure, but I'm pretty certain that the American's in the Japanese dub of Eden of the East speak English while the rest of the cast speaks Japanese.

I think. I skimmed through the Japanese dub on YouTube once while waiting for the dub to download. It's probably the closest you're gonna get.

That reminds me of this anime called Durarara where some of the characters actually speak Russian now and again.

In all seriousness, let's not forget about Hellsing (Ultimate) where the Major and his army occasionally spoke in their native tongue every now and then.

Also Tokyo Ghoul :re with a couple more German characters here and there. (Oh Karren..)

>>12 What is durarara? Is it good? I've never heard of it. It's interesting that, as you say, some of the characters actually speak Russian. Are the people voice acting actually Russian are they Japanese voice actors awkwardly trying to pronounce foreign words?

Worst anime of the century; would not recommend. I'd rather watch something about a train or something.

Hmm. Now that you mention it, bacca-no Pico suddenly springs to mind. It can also be written as Boku no Pico.

Truly a timeless classic. The best part of the series has to be the soundtrack.

This is a good idea, but don't forget that some people don't speak the same language as where they were born. I was born in Ireland, but I only speak English and Spanish. See my point?

I like the idea though.

The idea is great though but that takes a lot out of the budget to hire a professional VA from another country to fit the part besides Anime has been here for a long while now and people just don't like change with the concept... they like new ideas such as when SAO first came out VR was a dream...
But a new concept isn't so great such as Live Action versions of shows such as AOT Live Action which was just pretty stupid... in my opinion of course

Wow. That was incredibly suggestive. I'm impressed, but disgusted still nonetheless.

it would be cool- i get where youre coming from but at the same time its a little unrealistic,,?? (but in free! ES when they went to australia, they spoke english- it was fun to see that happen)
