Academy City is a very advance place in terms of technology. It is 20 to 30 years ahead than any other city in the world and 80% of the population of 2.3 million people are students. The focus of the study in Academy City is supernatural powers. Misaka Mikoto is one of the top level espers in the city, shares a room with Shirai Kuroko, who is also a high level esper who is a member of Judgement. Judgement is a law enforcing agency composed of students. Both attends Tokiwadai Middle School, a private school for high level and rich espers. Kuroko's partner at Judgement, Uiharu Kazari, is a low level esper who attends Sakagawa Middle School. Her best friend and classroom, Saten Ruiko, is a level 0, someone who cannot use supernatural powers. These four have exciting adventures in the scientific city.
Another anime, Toaru Majutsu no Index is created before this anime. But I watches Toaru Kagaku no Railgun before I watched Toaru Majutsu no Index. This anime is currently my second favorite anime. It's a school, action, shounen, sci-fi, super power anime.
