I can't believe Sket Dance is not in this board or even the comics board. It's an epic anime and manga that is worth the attention. This anime cannot be simply described without spoiling anything xD I will try my best to explain a little bit though.
So, basically, there are three high school students, Bossun, Himeko, and Switch. Bossun is the hilarious, yet down to earth character who does anything to protect his friends. Bossun's special technique involves him using his goggles to focus and find a solution to any problem. Himeko overpowers the other two characters physically as she wields a hockey stick and uses violence to fix problems. Still, she is as warm-hearted as the others and also has the task in mind to help others. Switch is the brains of the group and speaks through a computer. He has a great sense of humor and also, sets his mind to helping others. Together, these three form the SKET Dan:
S-Support
K-Kindness
E-Encouragement
T-Troubleshoot
The SKET Dan is dedicated to solve any problems submitted by staff and students. However, this club only remains as three people due to the derogatory reputation of only being "a group of handyman." Sket Dance focuses on the misadventures of this club, the SKET Dan.
The story is told through short stories, rather than a long storyline. Short stories include the missions that the Sket Dan has had to deal with, such as helping a samurai win a kendo tournament or catching a monkey. These short stories can also tend to be serious in such cases where there are bullies or criminals. This anime also weaves in each of the three character's past together within these short stories, and it reveals the reason for this club.
As you progress further into the story, you will find yourself both laughing and crying. Sket Dance includes both the comedy and feels. Anyone bored this summer should pick up on this anime! I hope you enjoy it!
