The series centers around two brothers, Wirt and Greg, who become lost in a strange forest called the Unknown. In order to find their way home, the two must travel across the forest, adrift in time, with the help of the wise, elderly Woodsman and Beatrice, an irritable bluebird who travels with the boys in order to undo a curse that has affected her whole family

This show is one of the best series I've seen from cartoon network. Unlike other shows from cartoon network nowadays, Over the Garden Wall is plain and simple without boring you too much by bombarding you with over the top shticks over and over. The atmosphere that this show gives is just amazing, it draws you in with it's eerie tone and spectacular story. The pacing of the show is just spot on and doesn't hurry that too much considering the time the show is provided with. Another great thing about this show is the music. The music has an 19th century vibe to it which goes nicely with the show. The characters are are well written and you start to empathize with them as the show goes on. The characters are very vivid and the show gives enough time for every character to develop and show their personalities. Over all Over The Garden Wall is something some cartoon shows should be: smart and well designed. The show is just perfect on it's own even though there are only 10 episodes the show feels complete and doesn't need to lengthen itself to make it better because it's already complete in it's simplicty
