Have you any anime/shows you feel should have a larger fanbase? I, for one, have always preferred underground books, manga, anime etc... Most mainstream stuff never interested me. I mean, I'm not gonna let any Joe Shmo tell me what to watch.
Kidding.
All joking aside, are there any shows you wish were more popular? Or are you content with the fandom size of said underground show.
Or maybe it's just me?

Hajime no Ippo deserves a larger fanbase. It´s great but even though fans love it the newest season, Hajime no Ippo Rising, from 2013 wasn´t a financial success. So yeah Ippo needs a larger fanbase.

I don't know how "popular" or main stream these shows are but I found them looking through tags of genres that I like and choosing ones that looked nice. and I found 4 good ones(not ranking, it's in order of when I found them)

1. Phantom: requiem for the phantom ( nice anime about 3 assassins who are being used by their organization and turned against and to each other while the organization falls apart)

2. Shikabane Hime ( people die and become shikabane due to their regrets, while they have a group of shikabane that fights off the murderous ones to protect the living. Ori being kept in the dark about this founds out and gets involved)

3.Shinsekai yori (people have abilities simalar to the powers in elfin lied. rumors about karma demons and copy cats around the school caused students to go exploring and find the truth to see if the rumors are real. they might have learned a little too much and caught them self under the watch of the school)

4.Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no shichinin (about 7 prisoners trying to escape from the guards who is trying to secretly sell and kill prisoners. after knowing one of them have the suicide note that could save them and put the guards where they belong. they can't do it with in the cell walls)
