I heard of a band called gorillaz from a video by rebeltaxi. I really loved their songs and their diversed animated music videos. I heard they were the most popular virtual/animated band of the early 2000 and are expected a come back later though the years coming.

I know I kind of live under a rock, but for any gorillaz fans out there, how did the impact of gorillaz for the music industry/world feel to you?

they are a band. if your talking about the animation its done by a certain production company like production I.G. but not likely. otherwise this should be in the music section.
