Mars of Destruction is, quite possibly, the dumbest anime you've ever seen. Or maybe you haven't seen it yet. Good thing I'm here to tell you about it, huh?
Mars of Destruction is an OVA. It is 19 minutes long. It can be
viewed here. It was at one point the lowest-rated entry on MAL. It is now supposedly the second-lowest. The current lowest is also by this guy, Idea Factory's Yoshiteru Satou. He is the Ed Wood of anime. Yes, that's right, Mars of Destruction is worse than Pupa. Worse than motherfucking
Pupa. It's so bad, a fair amount of the voice actors in this
never acted again.
But at the same time, it's brilliant. It is everything that can go wrong with a sci-fi series. It is its own parody. It has no context. Everything is fucked. It's in Shinji Ikari's nightmares. It needs no further introduction. It is a classic. Go watch Mars of Destruction.
