I was hoping there would be a Hakkenden thread.

I wasn't so interested in the anime, but the allure of bishounen was too much. I was surprised by how smoothly the story progressed, and there were constant hints of shounen-ai/yaoi everywhere but it wasn't forced and I actually liked even the female characters (considering it was written by a mangaka who does yaoi). While not the best, I'd say, definitely give the anime a try.

And Shino, the main character, is adorable. He's really, really adorable and I love his personality.
