Hi guys! I'm still new here and this is my first time creating a thread

Summer season anime started airing this week and there are lots of interesting series including sequels of popular anime like sword art online s2, sengoku basara judge end, kuroshitsuji circus hen and monogatari series second season -hanamonogatari-. So guys what are your opinions (expectations, impressions, etc.) for this season's anime series. What series are you expecting to be a big hit this season.

Ooooh, there are a lot of prospects in there. I'm looking forward to this season.

Yeeaaaah I've actually got my eyes on quite a few things, which is weird. I've never been capable of following more than like 2 shows on a weekly basis.

I'll probably be watching Basara, because I've got a soft spot for Basara. Aldnoah Zero looks interesting. Zankyou no Terror looks interesting. I'll watch Kuroshitsuji at some point since the Circus arc was the best the managa's ever been. Also Cencoroll 2!!!

Tokyo Ghoul looks pretty quality too, but it seems all dark and horror which is not really my jam. Idk if I'll be watching Sailor Moon or not, I've never really cared about it as a kid.

I will watch SAO 2.

...but only to tear it to shreds.

Haven't really looked at the chart in detail but from word of mouth I've heard Zankyou no Terror, Glasslip, and Aldnoah Zero are pretty hyped so I'll check those out. I'm definitely looking forward to Eccentricroll 2, Boob Dandy S2, and Stillnotkizumonogatarimonogatari. Oooh, and I did not know Yami Shitmypants was renewed for a second season, but I will gladly shit my pants to it again.

Nothing this year will beat Ping Pong though, let's be honest.

Guys did you already watch Tokyo Ghoul? the manga is good and i think the anime too going to be a good series.

GitS ARISE: border 3!

Very, very excited for that one. ARISE has been top-tier in every aspect so far and I think it's a great reboot of the manga.

Have not really heard of anything else except Free! and SAO II. I don't really keep up to date.
Speaking of, I should watch the ping-pong anime.

ARISE aired last 2 weeks i guess. Just as what you would expect in Ghost in the Shell, a good movie.

hanamonogatari, and the other sequels are must watch!

I really think that this is a season full of Godly anime series.

DEFINITELY Sailor Moon Crystal (Despite the CGI shit)

I might watch The Black Butler [spinoff]?

And probably Ai Mai Mi S2.

Nothing really catches my attention that much this summer.

Just watched the first episode of the Sailor Moon remake. The start back from the beginning, but the story is pretty different. I'm curious to see where they go with it.

However, you can tell the studio doing it has no idea how CG or 3D works. They zoom in on characters' faces and you can see all the pixelated lines, and they used a 3D model for the transformation scenes that was really badly made (looks like the kind of thing the average kid whips up in that Miku dance program). The voice acting is also so fucking terrible in it.

But, I'll watch it for the nostalgia. And the sexy men.

The art isn't that much different, by the way. It's just smoother. The general shapes of everything are still the same. Everyone still has that 70's hair thing going on. At least tuxedo mask is sexier than before (and you can tell they're going all in with the romance thing). It looks like they're introducing all the sailors right from the start as well. We just met Usagi, and at the end of the episode, we saw our first glance of Mercury. Venus also started the whole thing (she's a well known super hero long before Usagi gets her powers in this version). We've already met two love interests (Tuxedo Mask and some guy she's crushing on at an arcade).

I think they're going to get all the introductions out of the way first and then rush into the romance and action asap.

Lots of interesting shows this season, although the few that have shown a first episode so far aren't half bad.

-Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen (somewhat boring ep 1, but might be better soon)
-Hanamonogatari (Hyped, although likely to air late in the season, since it's only a few episodes. Still wish SHAFT would just fucking make Kizu already, but whatever.)

-Tokyo ESP
-SAO 2 (if only to keep up with the inevitable shitposting. Also that magic bullet CGI from today's episode legitimately makes me laugh every time I rewatch it. If any series proved they can be successful and spend as little money as possible on a S2 to maximize profits, it's these guys.)
-Aldnoah Zero (Good first showing, although it's kind of a given Urobutcher is going to kill someone off immediately, big surprise.)
-Majimoji Rurumo
-DRAMAtical Murder
-Re: Hamatora (First season was ok, might as well keep watching)
-Zankyou no Terror
-Tokyo Ghoul (Somewhat hesitant since it might go full edgemaster here, but the first episode was actually pretty interesting.)
-Space Dandy S2 (Because it's Space Dandy, there's not really much else to say about it.)
-Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance
And might as well keep up with Mahouka, since the 2nd cour is also airing. Main character is about as much of a gary stu as you could find for miles, but I have a bad habit of not dropping something when I pick it up.

So freaking excited for SAO 2. Watched the first episode today. I'm amazed at what Kirito's avatar looks like!

I'm definitely excited to see how Sailor Moon Crystal turns out. So far from the first episode I thought it was okay. I was kind of hoping for a remake of the original opening. That would have made me so happy, but the newest opening is pretty catchy.. and I'm not the biggest fan of the newest transformation. And Zankyou no Terror looks super interesting!

Kuroshitsuji Book Of Circus will be amazing. Especially if you have read the manga and realized how garbage the original anime actually is.

Guys whats your opinion on Akane ga Kill, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Space Dandy second season.

Haven't seen the other two ye, but Akame ga Kill looks really impressive from the get go, and doesn't seem to pull any of it's punches. Really looking forward to both of its cours.

Akame ga Kill looks pretty good so far from the first ep. My personal favorite from the new premiers so far is Aldnoah.Zero.

That's why the new anime is going ahead and covering the circus arc because that was was was supposed to happen next. And they also said they are doing the murder mystery arc.

Hopefully they will continue with the rest.

I am crazy excited for Kuroshitsuji Circus Hen, especially since that was the best arc of the manga currently. Also, SAO2 or GGO seems really interesting especially since I read the light novels. (:

The list looks bad this summer but, this will not stop me to watch some the shows. Only one I am interested in is the remake of psycho pass.

I was expecting something cool in the anime version of Sword Art Online: Phantom Bullet coz I'm reading the Light Novel of it and it's cool but the anime version is boring seriously it's boring and now I'm in the Sword Art Online Underworld the 3rd Season of Sword Art Online and I'm telling you the ending of Sword Art Online Phantom Bullet/GGO is boring and not worth my time so better wait for the Underworld :D

Sword Art Online is just a disappointment in general. Would of been good but, killed it in the second arc of the first season. Nothing can recover that stupid shit.

i thought the firsdt episode was quiet boring. Or maybe its season 1 talking cause i did not like season 1.

I read the light novels so I know how it is going to go I think it will be alright the situation is not as interesting as ainicard but the fights and plot progression is good

I'm gonna be really slow to actually check out these shows this season but I started today with Barakamon and it doesn't have a thread yet so I'll say here that...

...this show is fantastic. Really endearing but fun and whimsically light-hearted. Not too many tropes. I'm digging it and if you all need a break from your resonating terrors or your ghouls in Tokyo or your Zeros of Aldnoah whatever the fuck that means then this is the one to watch. /o/

All the new animes this summer seem really appealing to me, and of course there are also sequels like Free! Eternal Summer, GGO, Black Butler Book of Circus and Re:_Hamatora, which all had great prequels~
