Siblings Sora and Shiro are a pair of hikikomori NEETs who together form "Blank" (they literally do not have a username), a group of four mysterious online gamers (they both play as two players each) who can defeat anyone at any game. They both consider the real world to be a "crappy game". They are summoned by a boy calling himself "God" to a fantasy world where he has forbidden all violence and warfare between the sixteen intelligent races living there; instead, everything is decided by games. The siblings find themselves the would-be saviors of the human race (Imanity), who rank sixteenth among the races and have been confined to their sole remaining city.

This is a fairly new anime; it just came out this season (Spring 2014).

You should watch it before you judge it, it is actually very well-written (though I could do without the ecchi admittedly...).

I'm only a couple of episodes in. I kinda like it. I'm not a fan of the constant barrage of ecchi in the show though, and the sister character hasn't really felt like a consequential aspect yet. I'm still enjoying it, seems like it'll be a fun ride.

Fair warning though: there is some ecchi moments in this anime (which I could do without).

Other than that, it is REALLY good. The plot so far is solid, the characters great, and there is so many references to other games in it (like Phoenix Wright, Jojo, even Persona 4 and Steins; Gate). Overall, it's just a very enjoyable watch.

I was really expecting a lot of anime demographic pandering and undeserved hype with this and while some of the former is still there, I'm half-through now and the writing and voice acting is actually really solid. Pleasantly surprised.

I freaking love this anime!! Specially sora, i love his personality ~*.*~

The anime was absolutley brilliant! The art was gorgeous too. The plot was exellent. And the character development had its ups and downs. Overall it was fantastic anime and there will wont be a doubt in the world that there wont be second season. To bad i will have to wait till 2016.

Some he showed to all the races, others to maybe a select few to keep things interesting. Notice how the Warbeasts' game was a virtual reality video game that only THEY knew how to win (until Sora and Shiro came along XP).

Since Tet is the "One True God", he may have the power to look into games from other worlds so he could introduce more games. He seems most inspired by Sora and Shiro's world, as the games we've seen thus far are games known to that world. Tet DID test their abilities in an online chess game before bringing them to Disboard, so I guess he must get his game ideas from their world.

It WOULD be interesting to see all new games of Tet's design pop up more in the series, but, alas, we have to wait. :/

So looking forward to a season if there is going to be one, I mean there kinda has to be due to the huge cliffy they finished the series with the communion with the Old Deus, Would love to see more Kuhaku action with Sora and Shiro, but I guess for now I'll content myself with the light novel

This anime was really great, and I also hope there's a second season. I know it's an ecchi, and honestly when I first heard that it was I wasn't that keen on watching it, but there are so many other great moments that outshine the fanservice-y ones. If you like shows with plot twists and genius logic then this one is definitely for you :D
