From company Trigger and the directed and written by the men who created Gurren Lagann, this series is a highly animated, big budget explosion project that features the old school animation with no CG's

In a post apocalyptic Japan....Ryuko Matoi searches for the murderer of her father. She transfer to Jonnoji Academy that is dominateed by the ridiculously overpower student council by eyebrow emphasized Satsuki and her council members who wear Goku uniforms that grants them superhuman powers. Ryuko comes across a sentient uniform named Senketsu who violently puts himself on her and grants her new abilities. empowered, She now decides to liberate the Academy and find out the truth behind the owner of the scissor shaped swords's owner that is the murderer of her beloved father.

In the same spirit of Gurren Laggan with its lavish animation and lavish fanservice that really does ot forces itself on the audience, this series is quite promising indeed. Most anticipated of the fall season I believe.

Oh definitely one of, if not the most, anticipated this season for sure.

I can tell this will be one of those shows that works better as a marathon watch, so I'm gonna wait a while before I start it.

Up to episode two and this show is great. There is something about that traditional animation that CG just can't beat; it's just more.. Interesting.

I agree, I love everything about it so far. It is a bit ecchi but it has meaning to the exposure of the main characters body.

When I you said old school animation I didn't expect this...Really I don't know If I like it or not

Bump for third episode.

Loved the the third episode because it finally gives a full idea of what the story will shape up to be, plus it gives info on the level of ecchi that will be going down. Loving this show in general so far.

I think the best part of the third episode was Satsuki's dismissal of the fanservice aspect. It was almost as if the studio itself responded to accusations of unnecessary ecchi with "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU, PLEBEIANS."

God damn this anime is great. Effectively a palate cleanser pure action anime after the likes of Attack on Titan last season.

I give in to the pressure and started it this weekend and my verdict is....

Also did anyone catch on that Ryuko's clothes literally tell her how fat she is? I'm loving the symbolism and subtle stuff they throw in there.

Im not entirely sold on how the sissor can magically get smaller now. I guess it kind of makes sense since it can get bigger, but it more seems like a copout to just do less drawing. And where did her case for it go?? The questions!

Also something I am confused about, why is the manga coming out at the same time as the anime? Is it just an adaptation for those that dont want to watch?

I just found time to start watching it.
I must say this is fast paced as hell. But so far I'm enjoying it.

So, I started watching this. The fanservice is so hnnnnggg and the yuri is so HRNGNNGNGNGG and I lillke the whole concept of clothes that give you power and transforms you into an exhibitionist. Only on episode 7, but I'll definitely keep up with this seiries.

When I first saw the 1. episode I said "WTF is this shit?!" but I continued it and I love it so much :3 I saw tengen toppa gurren lagann to, but I don't liked that anime. Kill La Kill is much better I think. Gurren Lagann was a little bit boring for me ^^" Ryuko is amazing *-*

I love the way she ended up defeating the shield guy. Her Sengetsu just keeps getting stronger and stronger. I wonder how many episodes till she finds out who her father's killer was. Also, is anybody else sensing a bit of lesbian love between Ryuko and her friend (name escapes me)?

I have just started watching this show, and I am very impressed.

I like the animation, the soundtrack is great, the characters are awesome, everything about it seems really sweet. I'm not a big fan of the father's tastes, but then again I don't watch anime for that so nothing against this one personally. At least it's a little more laid back than others I've seen.

I haven't seen anything quite this ridiculous in a very long time, and I'll have to admit it's refreshing.

It's so great and it's so odd and it just keeps you wanting so much more!

I just started watching this .... and I have to say that I'm really liking it so far. I love how specific (no not the perverted part XD) the action can be ans love the idea to the plot. It's pretty good... and reminds me a lot of PSG (duh, transformation and echii). I'm not the type of otaku who watches echii, but this is a great anime, and I love it so much. I got through episode 3 and wanted to watch more. .. but I had to go to sleep.... :P the music is reallt great too, makes me want to get the whole soundtrack into my mp3.

also, when I heard the soundtrack to this, it sounded awfully like Attack on Titan or Blue Exorcist... funny that I knew who it was the instant the music played in the background. Gotta love Hiroyuki Sawano for composing such awesome music to an awesome anime.

I cannot begin to express how much fuck I am in right now.

THEORY/SPOILER ALERT













I actually have a theory that Ryuko is not Ragyo's biological daughter, in fact is actually Kinue's daughter. But Satsuki's father was having an affair when Ragyo was pregnant with her second daughter. Kinue then carried Ryuko herself at the same time as Soichiro planned to reaserch on life fibers to create one for Ryuko so he can take down Ragyo from gaining power. But he failed, and entrusted Isshin, Kinue's research partner in continuing his goal- to create Senketsu for Ryuko. He adopted Ryuko, who had a different name and possibly renamed her with 'Ryoku Matoi' to keep her in safety from Ragyo. That's when he started to strand away from Ryuko, sending her to a border school to keep her away for protection until he succeeded in Senketsu.

I ship Ryuuko and Nui so hard after that last episode

The anime started out kinda plot-less, but evolved into something so good I can't even put it into words

I have an Update for everyone. Next week's episode, set to air on March 28th, will be the series finally of "Kill la Kill".

Words can not describe how much this saddens me, but it's been a great, no... a fabulous run.

Starting the series, I honestly expected it to be to much like Gurren Lagann with many of the same ideas and plot. Little did I know that my exceptions would be blown sky high by what is now easily one of my favorite anime. Another great anime has to end, but hopefully this opens a door for another great anime to get its spot in the light.

I love this anime! It has a really interesting concept of clothing being aliens. It it quite mysterious. I actually stopped watching for a bit so i could have a full blown marathon later :P
