From Wikipedia, because I'm lazy: "In a small town of Suiten, located in a remote mountain region on the island of Kyūshū, reality and the spirit realm collide. Ghosts and paranormal occurrences appear in the real world, spreading through the town. Three high school boys, Tarō, Makoto and Masayuki, who have all had traumatic experiences in their childhood, observe the strange occurrences happening at Suiten. Together, they investigate the strange happenings by entering the spirit realm, or the Unseen World, although no human is supposed to be able to do so. The three boys are granted entrance, only to realize the key to their childhood traumas lies within this Unseen World. The local Shinto priest and his daughter, Miyako, also become involved in the occurrences."

I should say (really, I should've said it in the first post, but oh well) that this is definitely NOT an action anime. For some, it might seem slow or boring. However, I didn't think it felt slow at all, and I really like it because it combines some spiritual things with psychology (and I mean A LOT of psychology), and is able to tie it back to the characters and make it relevant to them and their experiences. It's not just a lot of exposition about psychological concepts and research.

Apparently, in addition to being in the psychological genre, Ghost Hound is also in the thriller, horror, sci-fi, and supernatural genres. Personally, I didn't think it was scary. I've read opinions of other people online who thought it was really creepy, but I didn't think it was creepy, either. Maybe that's because I'm really open to this kind of stuff, and I don't find it to be weird or abnormal or whatnot.

Fair enough but then again I get scared easily so, hopefully it doesn't scare the shit out of me.

>>5 I don't have a high tolerance for scary stuff, either. I think you'll be fine.

It's been quite a while since I watched this, but I really enjoyed it. It wasn't necessarily the sort of thing I would normally watch, but it was a really interesting change of pace for me. As far as I can remember it wasn't scary or creepy, but then again I'm probably not the best judge of that considering I watch things like Higurashi...
Anyway, if you're thinking about watching it, I say just go for it. It's a nice show.

>>12 It is a very cool anime! I've heard that a lot of people think the ending is a bit rushed, but it didn't feel like that for me. It did feel compressed, though. I think Ghost Hound could have benefited from one, *maybe* two more episodes to even out the pacing at the end.

>>13 yeah even with 2 or 3 extra episodes would have made it better, I just don't like it when a good anime comes to an end when you really get into liking the characters and the world that they are in.

>>17 I completely agree with wanting more of an anime you love (or anything you love for that matter). However, I do think story- and character-wise, Ghost Hound ended at a good point. It accomplished what it set out to do with the story and characters. I prefer a show I love to end in that kind of way, where it feels complete, rather than continue to go on just because the people who love it want it to continue. That way, you still have what you love, and there's no risk of it being run into the ground, or petering out as the result of being continued past what it was intended to do.

In my opinion, that's why you re-watch something you love: to get more of it. You can also often notice things you may have missed before that can add even more richness to your experience of something you already love.

>>20 well Ghost hound is more of a slice of life/supernatural anime, unlike the Anime "Ghost Hunt" is more of an Action/ supernatural anime.

also don't worry it's good enough
