My my this is a great anime in my opinion..It is, according to the latest episodes, one of the few brilliant "social psychology" anime out there. The main protagonist is Hachiman Hikigaya, a jaded, cynical boy who prides himself in being a loner i the "fringes of normal society". His most prominent feature is his set of "dead fish-eyes". He firmly believes that "youth" is simply an illusion created by hypocrites, for hypocrites, born from the ashes of past failures. In this state of apparent corruption, he is coerced into joining the service club by his futures advisor in the hopes that exposing him to the world will change his personality, and ultimately make him a "better person". There he meets the "ice queen beauty" Yukino Yukinoshita who has twisted sense of "noblesse oblige"...lastly is Yui Yuigaham, the club's first customer....

Quite a promising anime although there are instances of boredom. Although I do enjoy the conversations and witty batter between the presdient and Hachiman, someone would find all the prattle cumbersome. Yep very good. Animation is average and the design is decent. Nothing impressive in that area. What keeps me watching is the various commentary by the club members. Although they are loners....they are extremely perceptive of social hints and cues and gives insightful critiques upon them ranging from the student popularity contests to child bullying....good anime if you enjoy conversations

I absolutely loved this anime. The wordplay and style reminded me of Bakemonogatari. so funny. The psychological chicanery was also impressive.

Took me some time to find this thread, but it is probably one of my favorites. Always helps with a reality check here and there. I definitely relate to Hachiman quite a bit. Didn't expect it to be the way it is due to the title.

The MC is really really unique. His philosophies, though a bit illogical, but was somewhat convincing. I like the way he thinks. It's so not cliche.

Can't believe this thread had so few responses. Season 1 is serviceable with a better trio of main characters than you'd expect, though it was also cluttered with poorly-written tropey side characters.

Season 2 has been essentially flawless so far though. Love the new look and refined visual narratives by Studio Feel.
