Surpirsed there isn't a thread for this anime. If you don't know what this anime is, its adapted from a video game for the DS and its about these group of people who have a week to live in a lock down in Tokyo and with that, they will have to fight aganist demons with their demons that they summon from their phones due to a app that downloaded itself from a website that shows "Dead Faces" which is where you'll see someones or your friends death before it happens.

I've been watching it.
Kinda disappointed that they aren't exactly following the game plot. No Joe yet. Boo.
Either way or around, I'm still hooked on the series.

I mean it is just the animation, i think its pretty good so far

I think its a bit unfair in the anime cuz he got Byakko in the first episode (T^T) anyway the anime is quite good I guess

Did this have an anime sequel or is it just derived from the second game so they kept the "2" in the title? Can you just start watching right away without any prior knowledge and quickly get a handle for what's going on or do you have to read up on a summary of the first game?

It looks good and it's getting praise but I need to know how complicated this is to get into since I'm new to this franchise.

Its just from the game so they kept the "2" and you can jump straight into the anime and you'll understand whats its about. First episode gives you a good idea on it

DS2 is such an awesome game so I expect it to be a great anime. In my opinion, the opening theme and ending are just too good. :D

is this a good anime? i read that it was a DS game but it there a season1 or is it a continueation of the game but still explains everything in the anime? if it is would you suggest a website to watch it on?

As for the plot, it's just the adaptation from the game, so the story's idea is still the same, even though they aren't totally following the game's plot. And to tell truth, I think it's better this way. It wouldn't be interesting if things were exactly like they were in the game, as I would already know what was going to happen 8D
Nevertheless, I think you should play the game as well if you're in this kind of thing. It's totally worth it.

Byakko IS over rated 8D after all, it's a lvl 53 demon in the game(depending on your playthough, it's an endgame demon), but, in my opnion, it worked out in the anime.

being a fan of the persona 4(both the game and the anime) I was kinda curious. I don't know about the game but the anime was interesting. First three episodes looks good.

... I don't know what to say, but the Anime really ruined the game plot. I'm disappointed that Keita (spoiler). Hope the same thing won't happen to Jungo.

I'm still in Day 4 for the game, I started playing it after the first episode was released.

Well, like I mentioned, the Anime plot is swaying away from the game's... The vague idea is still there, but the ordering is off. I think the Anime might make their own ending.

For the people on this thread that are dicussing the "ending" they people who are working on DS2 did say they are going for the TRUE ending of the game. The TRUE ending, i repeat. I think they will make the anime into what shouldve happened but overall, the ending will be decided along side the anime, just watch out for the MC decsions regarding his friends and the sides he must choose, episode 4 gave you a PRETY good idea of the sides everyone is on but wait till episode 5 to come out to see how things will go.

Being a huge fan of Persona 4, I checked out the Devil Survivor 2 anime cause I'm a big fan of Atlus. I can't wait until the fifth episode, mainly due to the fact that I haven't played the DS2 game yet.

After watching the first episode I decided to try and play the Devil Survivor games for the ds and got both of them and played through the first one but only so far did one possible ending and plan to go back after I beat 2.

I'm still thinking about watching the anime...is it that good?

I'm so happy that no one died in Day 3. People were suspecting that either Jungo or Joe would sacrifice themselves to save Hibiki... Fortunately that didn't happen, or we'd lose a comic relief either way.

Setup episode, and they dropped that bomb early. Here's hoping the next battle will be amazing.

I love how they added the Secret Garden scene~ For a moment I thought they weren't planning to include it.

More to the "sacrifice" part, though I have little interest if Io survives or not.

Well... Um. I can't say that the new episode didn't throw me off. I liked those three.
At this rate, I think Io is going to die as well. (I have nothing to say about this, honestly, I'm not bothered if she survives. Same for Yamato.)
I wanted Makoto to die the same death as in the game, though. I like her, but the death clip had the most impact of all. Now it's impossible... Urgh.

Guessing they'll go with King Maker. And while I liked Otome I really didn't feel much from the deaths.

Wow, I guess there a lot of game based anime. Maybe they'll do Liberation Maiden next. And if it's a game I'll play it.

I just got this anime and I can't wait to see it, I hope it's good.

Well, yes, it is depressing that the characters are going bit by bit... But I guess if no death clips actually happen some people would get bored of the series.
On the other hand, I wonder if the emphasis on Io's death will let her be saved instead... I'm personally on neither side for Io's survival, though. I'm just ridiculously happy that Jungo will definitely survive this since his death clip in Day 3 didn't appear.

Main character is very annoying in my opinion >_<

Well, I didn't really like the ending. Seriously, what was the "Void" thing at the end that they had? The whole "everyone is disappearing!" thing was a little bit too... far? i guess. I mean really, he and that one guy Yamato were the only people left on Earth? O_O I don't know how to explain it, I just didn't like it.

The void was part of the game, but it wasn't that intense. :/
To simply put it, the Anime "Didn't pull off correctly".

I like the fact that they used the reset ending, but tbh they didn't add morals to it, so it was really... Plain. It would be nice if everyone ended up together again, though. Especially since we didn't even have time to learn more about them unlike the game.

I'm disappointed with the final episode, especially how they handle giving Hibiki Lucifer and the form they choose.

[SPOILER] I was a little bit surprised. I mean when i just saw the final battle. Yamato was like: "Summon Satan" And then Hibiki: "Summon Lucifer" And i just felt like I'm watching Hataraku Maou-sama xDDD I mean Lucifer....Satan.....Well, anyone who say Hataraku knows what I'm talking about (btw good anime, you sholuld watch it)
So it wasn't that bad, the idea was good, but this whole "Everyone dies and when only one person remains he makes a wish and everybody survives and lives happily" was a little bit boring. I just knew it from the beginning that the ending will be something like this.[SPOILER END]

So all in all it really wasn't that bad. I found it a little bit boring too, but if you want to kill time i recommend you to watch this anime.

Show was bad. Horrible pacing, the side characters were the only ones with development (and it was minimal at best), and the setting had no elaboration to draw the viewer in. I've heard the games were much better and I'll have to believe it, cause this anime was terribly written.

Seriously, Hibiki and Yamato must have been the driest and most trite protagonist/antagonist duo I've seen in a long time.
