Im putting up this anime because I had recently watched it and thought DAAAAAMMMM this is a good anime its 16 years old, but its awesome. The ending makes you wish they made more, I really really recomend you watch it

Also they made three movies and the third just came out today in Japan its that good. To bad I am not in Japan T^T

I love this anime, but i agree they shouldve made more.

Berserk was one of those staples of classic anime/manga. IT really set the level and tone for all future entries in the gritty, violent type settings.

I mean, even to this day, it's the measuring stick for a lot of people. Before GARcher symbolized the manliness of the modern era, there was Guts, back in the day, just being a general badass about everything.

Does anyone know when the third movie is going to be subbed

I love Berserk SO MUCH. Its one of the best animes / mangas Ive read. I think the third movie will be subbed and released next year as the second movie should be coming this year i think.

Trust me don´t watch the anime, read the manga

I would have to agree with Folty, though the anime is fairly good the manga trumps it quite easily.

The manga is VERY good, sure the anime is good, but you read the manga, your just going to fall backwards in love with it.

This anime is quiet old but still one of the best anime i have ever watched! I love it, oh and the manga... wow, i love it as well there are no words to express how much i fell in love with this anime. i spend most my time watching anime reading manga and if we borrow a DVD from the store then it will be some form of anime and of all the anime and manga i have read i am serious i would put this one near if not on the top of the best ever list!!!

I feel really awkward saying this, but I've only read the manga and seen the three Golden Age movies. I feel like a bad fan; just haven't had time to watch the original anime. A friend recommended the movies so I got those out of the way first.
But this is on my to-watch list for sure, because Berserk is just great.

I hear that the manga deviates heavily from the anime and I reallllyyy fucking want to read it. The manga sounds like much more of an epic journey, rather than a concise sequence of events. I'll have to get around to it at some point in the near future. The anime is fucking amazing though.

I remember first watching this anime a little over a year ago, and oh my god did it make an impression on me. I wonder why to this day I had never seen it sooner before. The anime was good but the manga was unbelievably amazing. This series gave me what I was always looking for in anime and manga and remains as one of my top favorites; but the manga remains as my favorite manga of all time.

Berserk must live on. Recently I've been rewatching the series with my friend in an attempt to get him into it and maybe mentally scar him. I also managed to finally get around to reading all of the manga. But since I'm caught up now, I have to wait before I can see if Serpico x Farnese goes anywhere.

I watched the anime, the first movie and part of the manga. I watched the anime first and think that it was made just for making the people enjoy and get to know the series. So for those who claim for more after watching the anime, don't stop now, I'm sure that you'll all enjoy reading the manga (although I don't recomed for those under 16, there are lots of inapropriate scenes, including the first one).

Yeah the manga is really good. The original anime was mostly faithful to it but even it cut corners a tiny bit. The OVAs are rushed...It should probably be the last thing to watch if someone plans to get into Berserk.

So...I finally deicded to read the manga I finished it and cant wait to see what happens next. Also to day I received an email from my prof. telling everyone that there would be a lunar eclipse at 6a.m. why am I telling you this well he also gave us a link to an article and the article told us that Griffith observartory would be live streaming it....coincedence...or is he the real griffith waiting for another eclipse?....what do you guys think? and is it ironic?

Just so people know there will be a new season this year. Its been 19 years for the people you first watched it and just 4 or 5 years for me!

I'm glad that I chose to read/watch this manga this year and not to regret it. My favorite manga/anime is One Piece but the art of Berserk manga is god tier level. So sad that the author died and the members can't continue it.Press F.
