Amnesia
On the morning of August 1, the heroine wakes up and discovers she has absolutely no memories of the past. A boy appears before her, and introduces himself as a "spirit" named Orion. The heroine struggles to regain her memories under the guidance of Orion. She then gets a phone call, but she does not recognize the name on her mobile phone screen. She meets her apparent "boyfriend," despite not knowing his face.

I think in the anime she will just repeat herself into August 1 with different boyfriends, and eventually go back to Joker World where that mysterious kind and yet evil green hair beauty and reveals the whole truth about this Amnesia stuff

I know that many people say this anime is confusing and such, but if you watch is closely (not only admire the sexiness of the guys which I totally agree with, btw), you'll be able to understand it quite well. In every episode there are some clues that lead us to what is really going on, it's just that they won't let us find too much in one round. This is a thing I like about this anime. And I like Toma, no matter how messed up he is (though I'm not sure I can handle someone like him in real life...).

I also watched up until ep 8, and he seems really caring and sweet, the fact that he's messed up is an opinion of many, maybe because (*SPOILER* he is yandere), but I haven't yet seen him like this in the episodes. I simply like him, no matter what.

When I saw the teaser for this I was immediately drawn to Toma and then when I watched his 'part' of the series, I was upset. of all things why dkd they have to be the messed up one? lol xD But yeah he's still cool (:

I really want the Second season of Amnesia.....they didn't show us who the Heroine picks as her Lover....and...what exactly is the Heroine name???.....uwaaahhh........there is so much that they didn't tell us...please give us some Second season.....

Loved this anime! watched it all in one sitting while I texted my friend (who mentioned it a few months before) about all my confusion that I had about it. that was a day well spent, my favorites were the heart and clover

How did I not find this until now? The animation, art, and story are all amazing for a reverse harem anime. I haven't seen such solid fantasy elements so well weaved into something like this for a long time. The music also isn't great on its own, but it definitely gets the damn feels across. I'm shaken up just by the first episode.

Alright, watched it all the way through! SPOILERS BELOW BITCHES.

Overall 7/10. Has noticeable budget issues but a great story. You'll like this if you're a shoujou fan who enjoys the concept of Higurashi but can't stand the gore.

It was a fun watch. Definitely interesting. Threw me for more than one loop and had me pretty pissed off for a while, as those in chat know. It's really confusing but tots worth it.












Story 10/10, wish I knew about the game beforehand. Could get a little confusing, but the pieces came together.

Animation... varies, like between 3/10 and 8/10. Some scenes have really great animation and others are just flat out terrible. They could have spread the budget a little more evenly and just had average animation all throughout.

Soundtrack 7/10. It really fit the story but wasn't anything special beyond that. OP and ED are 6/10. Loved 'em, but they didn't fit the tone of the anime.

Plot 9/10. The sequence of events worked towards its advantage and watch-ability. I just have a serious problem with them not thoroughly showing the MC's death. If you're going so far as to make it a horror shoujou, show the damn gore. THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN IT SO MUCH FARTHER. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING. FOR FUCK'S SAKE WHY NOT. I MEAN YOU PUT THE GIRL A CAGE FOR CHRIST'S SAKE; YOU MIGHT AS WELL SHOW A FEW DROPS OF BLOOD ON HER.

Characters 9/10. Loved all the side characters and how they developed differently in different worlds. The protagonist was also dynamic and grew over time, but she was a little dry in the last world compared to the others. Overall, I just love how they managed to avoid most of the major shoujou tropes; those that they did use from it they used in a new way, which I really appreciate.

Character art 9/10. Loved the costumes, designs, and THOSE EYES.

Setting art 6/10. It wasn't bad but wasn't good. I had to make it 6 instead of 5 because of how nice some of the art inside the club was.

Setting 9/10. I enjoyed the different worlds and the locations in them in theory.

After reading up some reviews, I just noticed something that I'd like to point out about the heroine's personality.

This is from an otome game, so the goal is to put you in the heroine's shoes and let you make your own personality choices. Unfortunately, this often leads to us having a bland character in anime versions. BUT, there is a very good reason for this in Amnesia's case, and I'd like to relate it back to a story of my own.

I deduced years ago (long before I knew about this) that in the case of having no memories, a person would be unable to produce a solid personality. Your personality and who you are develop over time from your experiences in life. How can you have that when you know nothing about yourself? So, my protagonist started out the story with no personality and gained it as she regained her memories.

In this case, the heroine never has a chance to regain those memories until the very end, where we see her happily run to whatever door she chose. Thanks to the experience she has through each world, however, she does begin to speak more and more and come out of her shell through the story. You can see by the diamond arc that she has really come out of her shell.

As far as she knew, he was protecting her, even if it was through his own deranged ways. It's only because Orion was scared and that she wanted to check the diary that she left in the first place.

NOT ONLY THAT, but you find out a lot about the personalities that she has in each world through them! Because she switches her consciousness between worlds, she's taking the body of the *her* in those worlds, but like the other characters, the *her* was different in personality and past. She was more aggressive in some worlds and sweeter in others. You find this out from minute sources, like the calendars, diaries, pictures, her responsibilities, and most of all, her different interactions with the same characters for each world.

She obviously couldn't regain each of these personalities because she couldn't remember the past she had in each of the worlds. Luckily, the creators used enough clues that any viewer minding the details would be able to see her internal characterization that she is unable to show in her current dialogue.

The last episode is tricky, however. On one hand, it could be that too much characterization was pushed for Ukyo and kept her from showing her own. On the other hand, it could be that she was in such shock of the previous world's events (she was dropped off the roof on the last day..! SHE WAS SO CLOSE), plus the world trying to kill her at every waking moment, plus the vague relief of finding out that she'll be able to stay in the world so long as she survives the month... Do you really think that you'd be some big strong, smart, mentally altogether character by the time you've been through all that? Of course her personality reverted back to how it was at the beginning. It's amazing that she had enough strength left to even think of Ukyo, though she was obviously not thinking straight. (Or it could just be laziness near the end of the story. The interpretation is up to you.)

I think that the writing in this story is a lot stronger than people give it credit to be. It's so easy to brush it off as, "it's confusing," but every second of the story has minute details to be taken into consideration. I think the biggest problem is the pacing. Because it has so many details, it makes the pace feel a lot slower, but because it's paced slow, people skipped around the episodes. That caused them to miss those details. That brought forth a lot of misinterpretations by the viewers and made the story seem weaker.

You may/may not already know this but they now have an English dub for this! Altohugh I didn't enjoy the anime THAT much, I think that the quality of the dubbing is gooooood!!

Well, I'm going to watch this now. It sounds decent enough.

2) Ukyo (yup, he's no.2 as well as with Kent. I love Ukyo because he really DID suffer all for the Heroine and I can't resist that dangerous side of him. Guilty pleasure~)
3) Ikki (I hate those that lure fangirls into ruining my mailbox with rotten eggs and junk. You can die in a ditch Ikki. In fact, I wouldn't even include you on my list but I think your character design is cool and I love your seiyuu)

this anime was amazing the ending was perfect for the warp up it needed, but how it had all the dot connect were really great! love toma!!!
