Alright, this is my first thread. This anime is bloody awesome! I just finished it and i'll deffinately recommend to any anime fan. Do not let its cutesy nature fool you! This is heartbreaking and tradgic anime, that makes its contrasting cute and bright appearence actually frightening because it is so wrong. Its protagonist are all young girls and there is a slight yuri spice with two of the characters. Its short, but full of charm and wastes none of the precious little time it does have. While it is only hinted, the romance between Homura and Madoka is simply award winning and is a bitch that it was never confirmed when it is so bloody obvious! We're talking Edward and Winry on a criminal level type of obvious. I honestly can't find a fault it in. But in fairness, i admit i am biased. If i had to complain about anything thing, the girl Sayaka comes across as bit annoying but she did have a right to be. So the complaint falls on death's ears. For thoses of you who watch the Eng Dub version (tastes may vary) it features a lot of of the Eng Dub actresses for K-On! are in the main cast, so that was a bonus, not Stephanie Sheh thank god. As she often annoys me with her characters (which is a shame because she has done some good ones). Also, it has some cool but quirky backgrounds in the "labyrinths" they fight in. For any of you who have played Persona, its like that.

PS = The ending music is fucking amazing and the video game for this so needs to be translated over.

Official synopsis on Wiki - In the city of Mitakihara, a 14-year old girl named Madoka Kaname and her best friend Sayaka Miki are approached by a strange familiar named Kyubey. This creature offers a contract in which a girl can have any wish granted in exchange for becoming a magical girl tasked with fighting against Witches, manifestations of despair that are responsible for unexplained murders and suicides. Meanwhile, a transfer student named Homura Akemi tries to stop Madoka from becoming a magical girl at all costs. As Madoka contemplates becoming a magical girl, she learns that a magical girl's life isn't as glamorous as she thought and is filled with anguish, suffering and despair. Soon coming to learn the dark secrets between magical girls and witches and the burden it places on her friends, Madoka struggles to decide if there really is a wish worth risking her life for.

Spoiler, the blonde one , Homura I think, loses her head in one of the episodes. Not telling you how though for those who aren;t that far.

I spent all last night watching the series, and was determined to watch it all the way through, no matter how angsty it became.

When Kyouko sacrificed her life to destroy Sayaka as a witch, I couldn't stop crying for a good 30 minutes. This is like, the second anime that has ever made me cry so hard. Being a KyoSaya fag really takes alot out of you. v.v

ANYHOW, I SHALL MOVE ONTO THE MOVIES.

AND I SHALL WATCH ALL THREE OF THEM TONIGHT, NO MATTER HOW SLEEP DEPRIVED I BECOME.

Haven't watched the series in just over a year, but watched the 1st part of the movie tonight after a countrywide screening of it. in theatres Everything I remembered that was great about the series came back to me, and I hadn't been excited over something like this in a long time. Sooo pumped for part 2 next week :D

this anime was delicious. i remember someone telling me a long time ago that it is actually a lot darker than it seems on the outside, and even knowing that, it still caught me off guard.

i said i like it's just it wasn't my cup of tea for an anime to get my perfect score the hummer must be mildly naughty more of a chick flick not my thing now his an her circumstances brought me to tears im a guy i don't like to cry that's why it's not my cup of tea still a good anime
