Evening fellow members~ I'm here to -highly- recommend one of the most stunning anime movies made. The name is 5 Centimeters per Second; the visuals are stunning, you feel empathy for the characters and overall, it's definitely one of the best melancholic movies out there. Note- it's only short. (1 hour and a half i think)

The story is split into three episodes, and revolve around two characters called Takaki Tono and Akari Shinohara. In particular, this movie focuses on the inevitable distances between relationships as time progresses, and the different perspectives on the matter. I don't want to go in-depth into the story (spoilers) so i'll just tell you this; It's a beautiful and realistic story which centers around a boy and a girl, their love for one another, and a course of events which come after them.

It's a good movie, and definitely one of my favorites. I feel like its one of the most honest and realistic animated movies out there, with a believable plot and storyline. Though I do believe that near the end they took the drama to higher levels than what is reflected in real life, it adds to the overall mood and effect of the work, and overall should be considered a plus.

One more chance, One more time is also a pretty good song!

I just watched this movie last night for the first time. I can't believe, that a one hour movie, almost made me cry. This film, is quite the masterpiece. I plan to get it on DVD.

It made me relate back to cry over my own self and made me cry. It helped me think of a perfect analogy for my life too. Man, I'm so depressing...

I was moved by the end of it. It had a realistic story about the relationships between people.

This is a really good, sad movie. The ending was flawless, in my opinion. Very realistic, and it'll put a tear to your eye.

I really need to watch the movie, to be honest. I've read the manga based off of the movie, and it gave me more shivers than any manga has ever given me before, but I never seem to find time for the movie. I read fast, so the manga wasn't a problem, but you can't speedwatch a movie (and have it still be good).

I actually like how it ended with a sad ending where everyone is with no one. Don't get me wrong I would have loved it, if at one of them were happy together. It really shows how things can turn out in the alternative sense. Would love to see more animes, or movies like this. =)

I've just finished watching this movie, and it surprised me. The way the story was told, and how it inevitably ended was very moving. Like the comments above, it's a sad and touching movie, and it's got me thinking about my own life and relationships I try to maintain, even at distance. Because in the end, nobody wants to be alone, even when the beloved one is so far away... Great movie.

I was so willing to see this movie.. and now MORE!!
