Nanami Momozono is alone and homeless after her dad skips town to evade his gambling debts and the debt collectors kick her out of her apartment. So when a man she's just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity.
But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity.
Kamisama Hajimemashita is adapted after an ongoing manga, but will only be 13 episodes long.
I'm going to get check it out eventually, but I think it's definitely worth a look for shoujo fans especially. It's one of the few romance manga I still follow, because it's fun and steers clear of a lot of the things that make the genre annoying.

The story seems pretty cute. I'm not a fan of the voice acting for the two little ghosts, though. The make me want to pull out my headphones whenever they talk.
In my mind this is a mix of Fruits Basket/Tactics. For Fruits Basket: It has the high schooler in a world that she cannot explain. For Tactics: All the monsters from all the many different Japanese Legends and the "deity" to help her.
I wasn't expecting it to be so adorable. You know, it kinda also reminds me of Black Bird, only because of the kiss and the whole "if you eat this person's flesh you gain a certain number of years" though that can go for a lot of different animes.
It's adorable. The voices of the little monsters are a bit annoying, but I'll be honest. I heard worse from the American voice actors, so it's bearable.
So far there's only three episodes so I can't exactly judge if it's a wonderful anime or if it's going to suck. What I can about it from the episodes I have seen is that it's cute. It's different and it's interesting. In my mind. I don't see a whole lot of the Japanese myths unless it's XXXholic or Tactics. I love the Japanese Myths as well, so this is a win for me.
I love this anime, i watched all the 13 episodes during one night. It was sooo good, that i couldn't stop watching it. I should watch it again :D Or maybe i should start reading a manga...ormaybe both, who knows :D
