What are some of the things you've noticed in anime that just don't make sense? And I don't mean things like 'she can fly' or 'he can shoot fireballs'. I mean things that are supposed to seem normal, but are actually kinda screwed up.

I'll go first:
People often bandage wounds over their clothes.

Here's one: coughing up blood after being injured regardless of the actual loaction of the injury. I think there was a scene in Bleach where someone was stabbed in the shoulder and started coughing blood. What the what?

Yeah I see that often in anime where a character will be coughing up blood when they only got hit in the stomach. You would only cough blood if something happened to your lungs. Something I never got in anime was the fact they have long conversations DURING A FIGHT! I understand if you curse but stopping, talking, fighting, stopping, talking, and fighting again?

The fact that the human body seems to have no less than 10 gallons of blood in it at any given time.

IN EVERY ANIME there is one character who just seems to get killed over and over agin... and still comes back to life somehow!

One thing that I never understood in anime is when people for some reason don't know the identity of a magical girl that saved the day and she isn't even wearing a mask or changing her facial features. It's like all they have to do to protect their identity is wear a different outfit and maybe have a different hairstyle and no one will know who they are :/

People are really oblivious of other people's feelings. ._.

If you put a cape and an eye mask on, you're immediately unrecognizable, even if every other physical feature is exactly the same.

You can carry a weapon as big as you with no trouble.

is it just me or do most of the main characters in alot of action anime have blonde or orange hair or even white hair :P

and most main girl characters go from blue to green hair, like we wouldn't know whos who if they all had black or brown hair XD

They can go around destroying building and stuff and the next day everything's cool.

Cute little girls have ten times the physical strength of a professional athlete.

Anyone else notice how, unless they're twins, it's pretty rare for siblings to have the same hair color in anime? :l If you've got the same mother and father, you'll more likely than note have the same colored hair. It's possible to have different hair colors, but it's not as common as having the same color, as far as I know.

I hate how the guy with the sword just whips past his enemy and strikes an epic pose as his enemy explodes in a shower of blood/simply splits into two.
Why does blood spurt out like that? It's like a hose or something. As far as I know, even slicing the abdomen wouldn't result in a torrent of blood akin to a hose that had been pinched some way through and released at just the right pressure.
Also, wtf with the super long monologue and flashback pre-battle? Do they seriously just stand there and wait for the guy to sort through his memories enough to realize that, "OMFG THIS GUY KILLED MY GF/FAMILY/CLAN/BFF IM GOING TO UNLEASH MY FURY!!"
And then the breast size usually reflecting the personality. For example, flat-chested girls are tsunderes or athletic; huge breasted ladies are usually quiet, reserved, or shy. That's USUALLY though. It depends, but those are the typical things.
Again, depending on the anime, there is the occasional yet utter lack in adults. Like, the kids don't go to school for any number of days for some epic otherworldly quest and it's like no one who's supposed to give a damn DOES. This depends though.
Then there's the extremely lucky power boost that always gets the main character back on his feet just before he gets killed by the latest boss. For example, we have Naruto meeting his dad and beating Pain just after he had been about to selfdestruct cuz of the kyuubi. There's also Ichigo, who spoke to his zanpakutou and bonded with it before Kenpachi could do him in. It's those coincidental occurences that aren't really coincidental but in real life, would just be some pretty lucky bullshit. As in REALLY lucky. Or maybe main characters just attract that sort of thing. Oh well.

There's always an elite squad of people with immense power... that get wiped out by one person. Its one of those "Seriously, wtf." moments when you see that. Or when bblood just spews out like a fountain when a male character sees an attractive female character.

At least in Black Butler, Mey-Rin doesn't nosebleed a fountain, its more of a trickle with her.

And in anime, there's always some supernatural character that has powers beyond what you'd expect for a human character. Like in Death Note, you have Kira aka Light Yagami, who has the Death Note. He can kill a person by seeing their face and writing their name down.

I've noticed that in a lot of animes the majority of main characters who go to school will sit in the row by windows. Usually the second or third last seat.

Nabari no ou is one of the only shows where one of the main characters didn't have a gender but it made SENSE. I would check it out if you haven't.

Otonashi didn't go straight to that world after death. In the show, he even says it was some time before he "wandered" into that world, which means his soul was just wandering around trying to find the afterlife. The others just arrived there before his soul was able to wander it there.

If you want to know why may have wandered, then 1 theory would be his heart. The last 2% (I think) of the human genome is still unmapped, and some believe this is the genetic blueprint for the soul. If his heart was donated, and Tachibana was alive, then technically a small piece of his soul would be alive as well, therefore rendering him unable to venture into the afterlife. When she died, so did the final piece of his soul, enabling him to slowly arrive in the afterlife. When he got close enough to his heart, his soul pieced itself back together and he regained his memories.

Hm, I don't know, but it almost seem impossible for an anime character to bleed to death, especially the more important characters. The Main characters all seem to have an unlimited supply of blood, and can loose gallons of it and still have the strenght to get some last attack in and off their somewhat stronger opponent. Also, it seems the character can only defeat opponents when said character is half dead or something.

There needs to be at least one person with red eyes in every anime.

And the blood.... Well, it comes out in insanely huge amounts. Which is why I believe that, no matter what show they're from, all anime characters are either zombies, vampires, or ghosts. In disguise. Yup.

Something I've thought about for a while and seen in almost all action anime (idk):

When someone gets the crap beaten out of them, (I'm talking real bad, like....a bomb got dropped on them or something.), they somehow, magically get right back up like nothing has happened. I don't get it. Sure, willpower can be a factor in that but you can only do so much, especially when your human. If it was me, I would've sat my butt down, and let it go....maybe that's why I'm not in anime. Lol, the world would have been destroyed.

Okay, I've noticed that with every anime I've watched, there has to be at least ONE yaoi/yuri reference somewhere.

Seems like some characters have built-in shock absorbers in their bodies. They can fall several stories high and still live.

No matter how much damage a character takes, they never seem to have any physical damage.

The jiggle physics in Highschool of the Dead

Just saying that, in some anime when the world comes to an end and there is no hope what so ever. The hero still save the day and no one know what just happened. Only the ones that are around the main character (hero) at all time still remember what he did and what happened on the day it should have ended.

NO matter HOW human a character looks... they aren't human. Example: Sebastian,. Grell, (dunno if these count) Hazama, Rachel Alucard, Rukia of Blrach, and so on. They aren't human at all!

Also, there's always one bloodsucker in most anime.

In Evangelion I mean what the hell is the point of the guns in that show hewll the prog knife is more useful in that show

At the end of Code Geass 2, we see photos of what happened to all the characters in the anime after a certain period of time. Like a flash-forward. So, what I saw was this:
When they showed the one of Villeta and Ohgi's wedding, EUPHY was there. She was there even though Lulu killed her!

I've noticed in a lot of animes that characters will be sitting around a campfire... but there won't be any wood feeding it.

Recentl example: At the end of DGM episode 37, General Tiedoll is sitting with a campfire, but the fire is literally floating above the ground. It's not like that's his innocence's power... so it makes no sense. At least some animators just shove stereotypical logs underneath the fire, but I've seen a ton of scenes in various shows where the fires are just sprouting out of the ground.

- There is no such thing as using the bathroom in anime.
- There is a lack of logic in most anime.
- A demon can easily be the cutest damn thing ever.

- No one, I repeat, NO ONE, seems to age in anime at all.

When someone is running away from someone or something, especially if they are crying while doing so, they will almost always trip over their own feet and fall down. In addition, if they are running from something that is chasing them (sometimes a person could be running away from a situation, a la Beck MCS when Koyuki has to tell Ryusuke that he broke his guitar and runs away crying when Ryusuke gets pissed off about it, or Toradora, where Taiga literally tries to run away from her feelings, which was absolutely hilarious despite how serious they were trying to make it) they will have a hard time getting back on their feet.

Anime character's tears are voluminous and infinite. Like really I've never seen a human being cry that much.

It's because Ichigo's mother was a Quincy and his father was a Soul Reaper, (not to mention him growing a hollow's mask). Because he kind of has a little bit of everything in his blood, the potential for him is limitless. Every time that he pushes the boundaries, he unlocks more and more of it. This one isn't really an anime cliche as much as it was used for one episode of an anime. In Mirai Nikki (or Future Diary) when Yukiteru first obtained his future diary, he uses it to cheat on a few of his tests. Here's where I have to start questioning: What school lets you use a cellphone during a test? How did he not get into trouble for using it? You could make the argument that since *SPOILER* his teacher is also a diary user and would let it pass thinking he was going to kill him anyway, I'm sure one of his classmates, besides Yuno, would have noticed and said something to the teacher. But there isn't a scene where that happens which is why I have to question this logic. This is minor, but a lot of anime logic has already been said here a number of times.

1)When they run to go and save someone they can run hours without getting tired but when they run away from somebody and then hide they are tired like shit(for example Drrr when Kida was running to go to the yellow scarves hideout didn't get tired at all but when he saved Anri after they ran&hid they were tired)
2)Some times they eat trains of food in their everyday life but when they go on a mission they don't get hungry for days (for example fairy tail) xD

How chains in anime conveniently change in length ALL THE TIME when used as part of a weapon or the like.
