I don't know why, but I kept yelling out "Yaoi alert" throughout the last few minutes of the first episode, and most of the second episode. But then there were times I was like, "Oh shit, never mind", and that was when it showed the big boobed neko girl.

Despite the mass amounts of stereotypes, I think they combined them in an interesting manner. The story seems interesting, but not enough has been explained to know if it's going to be good or not.
Yata is fucking adorable. Seriously. How could you not like a hothead who rides skateboards down buildings and hits people with metal baseball bats?
Even though the samurai guy is pretty sexy, I dislike his personality. He's unrealistically naiive. I guess that balances out his character when compared to his enormous power, but it still annoys me.
I like that Shiro isn't defenseless despite his lack of powers thusfar; he's pretty cunning when it comes to escaping situations, even if his methods aren't really practical.
I love the art and animation, and the music is pretty good. Not great, but good. My main problem with the music is that, despite having really good soundtracks, I don't think they play them at the right times. It's kind of distracting the way they use them. Of course, I'll get used to that as I watch more.

While there is fanservice, it hasn't been that bad, IMO. It's not like Highschool of the Dead or Junjou or anything as far as those. It may get worse or it may get better throughout the series; we'll find out once more episodes are released (every friday).

I only seen two episodes. So far, it's not what you expect. I totally thought there was going to be more dialogue, but there's scarcely any, which in my opinion is kind of nice. It's nice to see an anime that doesn't have endless ramblings.
The plot is intense. The first episodes starts a /fight/ now how many animes can do that and still keep people entertained? Not many. I'm enjoying the personalities of the characters and in my opinion, it's fun ^_^.
I'm on episode three right now, but I have a feeling that I'm going to be hooked on this really fast. if it is a thirteen episode deal then I'm eagerly looking forward to how they're going to end it, or make it continue!
As for the BL underlines and the girl with the big boobs, yaoi girls...unite. Fanfiction writers are going to have a ball with this.
Now: This may be an anime where it's going to get dull really fast or it's going to be an anime where it continues to be very interesting I don't know right now. There's only 5 episodes that I know of from the website I'm using and I don't know how often it's updated of the sort. I'll keep my eye on it and hope that it remains good. .

The fanservice bother me a little, but I just can't stop loving this anime. The artwork is the prettiest, the characters all have individual characters paired with interesting relationships to the other and even if it's not that full of story and plot twists, it amuses.
But I feel that the ending will dissapoint me because all is still kind of a mess (well, I'm still episode 10) and yeah...

Despite that weird "I'll kill you after I feed you" part in the first few episodes, I think the anime is really good with lots of story-vise potential to grow even though it probably won't.
it's true that it doesn't care about giving much background on the characters.Even so I love the characters as they are and their interaction where you definitely feel their intented relationships through those actions. The storyline also gets more interesting in later episodes.
I would love to see more to come esp. after watching the 10th episode but too bad it's going to be a short anime.

I personally like the anime.
I thought it was pretty suspenseful and had really hair-tearing cliffhangers. Which I truthfully hate, but at least it keeps me interested.
I love the characters, they're all really unique and some of them are kind of predictable, but oh well. My favorite character is Shiro-chan so far. :3
Not to mention, the art is really clean and nice. Another plus.

This anime's been great so far. The animation's smooth and the quality doesn't suddenly drop at any point. The camera angles are interesting and the color schemes make the show look like it's being watched through a glass bottle, which adds its own kind of charm to the show. The soundtrack is a fantastic mixture of both orchestral music and R'n'B beats that work really well together. The characters are interesting and diverse in terms of personality traits and looks. The only problems I have with this anime are the facts that the plot's a little hard to follow and the story starts starts slowly in the beginning. There are also (sadly) only 13 episodes so the show as a whole feels a little rushed. Another problem is that it panders to fangirls with a cast full of pretty boys who have lots of Ho Yay/Foe Yay moments, which might drive away some male viewers. Of course there is some fanservice for guys as well, mainly in the forms of a catgirl who likes to run around naked and the no-nonsense vice captain of SCEPTER 4.
I'd give it a 8/10 in that it looks good, sounds good and is very interesing in terms of both characters and plot when it properly starts rolling, but it just feels like this show's not living up to its full potential.

I have mixed feelings towards this show. While I love the awesome graphics and music and all the voice actors, I'm disappointed by the plot and the character depth. I don't really like BL fanservice so I got kinda annoyed every time I see it.
It's not one of the best to me, but I'm still watching it for fun, and I'm still hoping for some unpredictable plot twist in the remaining few episodes. XD

(SPOILER) I love the art, one of the best I've seen, unfortunately it was a little wasted on the confusing story line. The characters seemed in depth and overall, well designed. But everything went downhill after the bit about the Nazis. Plus I felt that it was a little crazy that the Silver King was Shiro, their personalities were far too different, the creepy Silver King suddenly cheerful? Well, the art and voice acting is still extremely enjoyable, not to mention the excessive yaoi hints, so I can't dislike it at all. It just could have been better, like most things.

Why the heck does people keep saying that there's yaoi? They didn't even do kiss each other on the cheeks. It's just that people like to pair them together and make them yaoi dosen't mean they are. I love this series, even though the plot is confusing and the ending was extremely rushed and unsatisfying, I think the characters were portrayed in great detail and I really love the animation- Especially fighting scenes, and the camera when Yata is skating. I love Kuroh, especially.
Hopefully the 2nd season will contain more plot.

Ok, so I read all this thread and I'm kinda confused, least to say. Where the f*** is there any BL in this anime??? I already finished watching this anime and all say I remember is the great comedy, also drama, sacrifice of great people, cunningness and yes, maybe some ecchi moments which made it even funnier. But no BL, for God's sake. It you're talking about Yata and the guy who betrayed Homura, this is sooo wrong. In my opinion, there is no BL in this anime. If you know better, please give some examples, I'm really curious.

Personally, I was disappointed, but not in the way you might think. I don't hate on the anime, and the plot and visuals are amazing. Here's the problem: the plot was TOO good for only 13 episodes. I mean, okay, I'll use Guilty Crown. It had a great run of 25 episodes which its plot totally wasted. Something like K would have been better for that length.
Wow, okay, that sounded kinda difficult. Basically, I thought that the plot was too rushed, too smooshed into 13 episodes. Its character development and plot could have done better if paced well enough.
Argh, I sound like I hate the series. I don't. I love it. *teary eyes* I just think it could've done better...

Movie of GoRA Project and GoHands' television anime scheduled to premiere in 2014
A movie adaptation of GoRA Project and GoHands' K television anime has been green-lit. The announcement was made at the "K-Who is the next-" event on Sunday. The movie is scheduled to be premiere in theaters sometime in 2014. Cast and other specifics will be announced sometime in the future.
The anime premiered last October with Shingo Suzuki (Mardock Scramble) as the director and character designer. The show's voice cast includes Daisuke Namikawa, Tomokazu Sugita, Komatsu, Kenjiro Tsuda, Daisuke Ono, Mamoru Miyano, Miyuki Sawashiro, Yui Horie, Takahiro Sakurai, Jun Fukuyama, Yūichi Nakamura, Satomi Satou, and Yuuki Kaji. Viz Media streamed the anime in North America as it aired in Japan, and announced that it has the master license to the series. A sequel was green-lit in December.

Saw the first two episodes of the English dub last Friday at a convention.

Bumping this because I finally finished it and I'm upset about the ending.
The characters are full of tropes and cliches, but in a way that makes you enjoy them more. The visuals were great and the music was nice, not to mention the idea behind it all. The plot was somewhat lacking, but enjoyable anyway.
I'm a huge sucker for anime about organized crime (that's how I got here, after all) and fell hard for the idea of clans and kings fighting each other. I was incredibly attached to the Red Clan - not sure if I should consider it a good thing or a bad thing.
Though the ending make me very angry and I threw a remote across the room, I would highly recommend watching this. It has a lot of interesting aspects.
And I'm intensely confused about this whole second season/movie thing. Are we talking a sequel? Because honestly, I think K was rather self-contained. Though I would greatly enjoy learning more about the other kings. I'm just hoping this doesn't go in the same direction as Darker Than Black season two.
But hey, who knows? The new season/movie/whatever could be fantastic. I guess we just wait and see.
(Also I just saw the first episode of the dub and it sounds pretty good. Looking forward to more.)

Well, to be honest... It had it's hilarious moments like it did in the anime, but there weren't many fight scenes. Like, the PV pretty much showed you all the action scenes.
I also, STRONGLY advice for you guys to listen to the Missing Kings Drama CD on YT if you haven't already before watching the movie. It kind of pieces things together better than just watching the movie.
