Seirei no Moribito is one of the best Animes I've ever seen. :)
The main character is Balsa, a strong woman who works as a bodyguard. She is asked by the second empress for a job. Balsa must protect her son prince Chagum. He is carrying the egg of the waterdemon and because of that his father the emperor must kill him, otherwise aridity comes to the whole land. Balsa except the job to protect Chagum from the assasins of the emperor. (Sorry for some mistakes, my english is really bad q.q)
It isn't an Action-Anime, but when there is a fight it looks very impressive. :D The characters are more than amazing and the story is absolutly beautiful, like the music in this Anime. I love it. :D I like that its not a cliche like a strong man with great fighting skills and a beautiful girl who heal him, protecting a scared young boy, who can nothing, but standing in the way... NO It's totally diffrent, a strong woman, a great man who heals, a brave young boy ( i think he's brave... and other wonderful characters. :)
My favourite character is Tanda, i love him from the beginnig...most sympathetic male character ever. :D (I almost cried every time he appeared XD I know Im crazy... :P)
Unfortunately, this amazing Anime is pretty much unknown. o:
