Your MP3 player will never be this awesome.Oda Nobuna no Yabou is another series retelling Lord Nobunaga's Ambition, a tale of the feudal era of japan in which the nation was finally united under one banner by a great leader.
For some reason unexplained, the main character has been sent back in time and was saved heroically off screen by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This is a big damn deal, because Hideyoshi serves Nobunaga, who eventually unites japan.
Which means it sucks when he dies in the first 30 seconds of the series.
Sagara Yoshiharu is charged with completing Hideyoshi's dream - uniting japan, a castle, and getting
all the girls. All of them. Good thing Sagara is an idiot.
Interestingly though, much like Koihime, all of the famous historical figures are women. Except Hanzou - Hanzou apparently was so manly that the author's attempt to womanize him failed, and he remained GAR.
So Sagara ends up saving lord Oda Nobuna - the female nobunaga - using his cellphone's MP3 player. She recruits him as his retainer, and he proceeds to use his awesome future knowledge to make sure japan remains the way it should!
He has balls occasionally, and is pro-actively quite knowledgeable and reactive to his environment. However, he's also a girl crazy idiot and so I find myself having to put up with his stereotypically stupid behaviour until he acts normal again.
Also somehow he gets a ninja. She's adorable. I'd probably watch this entire series just for the little ninja girl.

Not much to say regarding this series personally. It's interesting enough to hold my attention, but nothing like Jintai or Campione this season. We'll see how it plays out.
