InuYasha
Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inu Yasha (also after the jewel's power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.
Inuyasha: The Final Act
Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippou and their neko-mata friend Kirara, are now in the final leg of their quest to put an end to the elusive demon, Naraku and all of the chaos and evil he has caused, and to ultimately undo the unfortunate karma of the Jewel of Four Souls. Their journey, however, will not be easy as their remaining enemies put out all the stops to make sure that they do not accomplish their goal.
This TV Anime depicts Volumes 36-56 (end) of the Inuyasha manga. The story continues from the last moment seen in Inuyasha's original anime. Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippou are now in the definitive quest to beat Naraku and the evil he has created and absorbed, they don't lose hope since their future depends on it, but the path isn't easy nor short so they will go through life threatening situations and must put their friendship and love on the line with wisdom to know who their friends and foes are to succeed.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I haven't bothered watching The Final Act, but I did watch the first adaptation. God, memories. I'll watch The Final Act... Sometime in the near future. Did read the manga, so I know what happened though. Meh.

Thank you Insert, This was one of the anime that got me watching anime. I'm glad it has a good thread now.
On that note, I remember staying up to watch this when I was younger, And waking up early to watch it as well. All this nostalgia.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW! This is my favorite anime of all time, I watched all the episodes more than twice! Kagome is the most badass anime chick in anime because she has given up everything to be with Inuyasha, always putting herself in danger, grew up fast, fearless in a fight, and never stopped loving Inuyasha and always followed her heart. An absolute work of art, just fucking amazing!

The image of this thread made me notice something kind of horrible.
Kagome, Shippo, Inuyasha, Miroku... They all have this four-spikes of hair thing going on around the right side of their head.
What is this.

Some new abridged series for this just appeared on the radar. It has some great potential, actually. It seems to be making fun of the core of the show itself, at least that's what they say will happen in the new few episodes.
