This is probably the most interesting topic ever. It's so fun to see the many "couples" the fans put together, even if it is yaoi. Nothing against it; I too have some things people would frown upon. Even if I don't understand yaoi, I love that you like it.
Back to the shipping matter. While reading this thread, I saw some interesting patterns. One of them was in what fandom of anime people liked to ship the most. I didn't know many, but some of were: Hetalia, DRRR!!, Ouran HSHC, Kuroshitsuji, etc.
Also, the couples with most ships are Shinra x Celty, followed by Shizuo x Isaya.
But of course, only in this thread. I'll look up for more like this.
