The coming-of-age story of “love, friendship, and music” follows a naïve boy and a scruffy boy in a provincial town in Nagasaki Prefecture town in the late 1960s.

In the early summer of 1966, Kaoru transfers to the local high school from Yokosuka. Thanks to his family’s nearly constant cycle of moving from town to town, Kaoru has only known school as a difficult place for readjusting every time. However, on his first day at this new school, he meets a boy and begins a new direction in life.

Guys.
I watched the first episode twice.
It was only aired today.

Just watched episode one.

Looks like it'll be a pretty damn good series. Reminds me of Nodame Cantabile a little bit (only because it's music related).

Aside from that, I have high hopes for Apollon, since it's one of the only series which has actually exceeded its high expectations (so far).

I loved the first episode of this show, despite that I ended up with a file with subs not truly synced.

Hopefully this one will stand out of the rest of the shows this season, since not many have actually given me /that/ kind of feeling so far.

Two words: Watch it!

So I finally watched this show. I wasn't exactly well timed, since I was under the impression all episodes were out, but it appears there's still one left.

But the music in this show. The music in this show. GORGEOUS.

Not that the other parts of it aren't nice. It's really surprising how un-cliche the love triangles and complicated relationships in this anime feel. You're introduced to some common situations, but there's something genuine about the way they play out. And the music ties it all together and gives it the right flavor. I wish it was longer than what it is.

Marathoned it yesterday since last episode was coming out. Good lord. I love this show. Good thing I didn't have to watch it week by week or else I would have died... DIED FROM MANLY TEARS.

Also to those of you interested, the manga provides more of a back story during the time skip and ends a little bit differently.

Oh my god, the animation itself is just fucking brilliant in this show. It's so smooth and swingy, just like the music itself, fantastic. Loved it. One of my favorites of the year so far.

This show is just lovely! It introduced me to a lot of Artist that I probably would have never bothered listening too. I wish the story was longer but the ending was great.

Fantastic show, watched the entire thing in one day - a day off work well spent in my eyes!
