Synopsis according to Funimation:
In the near future, a meteorite carrying a foreign virus crashes in Japan, leading to a devastating nation-wide infection and total anarchy. Several years later, Shu—a teen with a special ability awakened by the Apocalypse Virus—meets a strange girl who incites him to join the struggle against a government organization’s robotic forces and a secret society whose goal remains shrouded in mystery.
My thoughts:
So, I know that Guilty Crown is a newish anime. And I gotta say even with the current plot twists I still love it.
Pros: The Animation is Beautiful the soundtrack sounds amazing and the characters develop and change just as the plot does.
Cons: While the characters and plot develop well, they kind of rush it. It is like the plot is happening and then in three episodes everything and I mean everything changes. The characters, the plot, their lives, and subsequently your emotions all suddenly change. It is like it sometimes goes a completely different direction than you though it would, so it is easy to feel lost.
Anyone else have any thoughts on Guilty Crown? Pros and Cons? Favorite Characters? Ships? OTP? Please share. :)

Awesome, nice thread you got hurr. Anyways, I dropped this after like... 4 episodes or something. I just didn't like it. The main character felt a bit dumb in my opinion. I dunno, it probably got better after those episodes. Although, that episode where he pulled that sword out of the female main character looked cool.

It's an alright anime, im just waiting for the new episode to be released this week. I kind of sort of ship Hare x Shu and Daryl x Gai. And my favorite character is forever Daryl :~)

Anyone else think of Code Geass instantly upon starting the first episode? Because the only way I can describe this show to most people is literally "Think Code Geass, only with a real person instead of Lelouch and mechs that run on wi-fi."
... Actually, now that I think about it, that very sentence is probably what they used to pitch the idea to the animation studio XD
Anywho, I stopped watching this for a while. I learned after getting to the 11th episode that there were going to be more annoying cliffhangers like that and decided to wait for the series to end before starting it so I can just sit down and watch it all in one go without waiting a week to be sure what the hell is going on. Good show, though. I recommend it to people sane enough to not sit there saying "Blatant Code Geass rip-off" multiple times in their head while watching.

The reason for code geass similarities is because the duo writers of code geass are writing guilty crown. so theres alot of references :D

Animation is awsome...Music is AWsome.....the plot is just......complete crap....the only thing that is keeping me from dropping off this anime before it ends is the occasional Awsome moment...like every 4 episodes....

It's mostly just to dodge cliffhangers on episodes, but it's the kind of cliffhanger that makes you scream "F**k you, writers", and makes me that certain that waiting until the last episode is already out would be better than keeping up with it weekly.

I just watched the final episode last night ... It was fairly rushed but still awesome with a few bits that didnt completely make sense ... Overall a good anime, I will re watch it in the near future if I get a chance

I love this anime! My friend, and honestly I as well, believe its a bit cliche but then again what exactly is original nowadays? I LOVED the soundtracks to this I replayed episodes just for the openings and endings lmfao. Great anime watch if you already haven't!

about the plot.. my friend and i thought of that too. the ending was rushed. and i also thought that it's better if Shu and Inori disappear together... if there would be a season 2 for this anime, i think it would be better if there'll be new main characters. cause if inori comes back, it's like the story forced to continue >_<

This anime was great indeed, although sometimes the plot gets kinda lost along, the story was great, Shu from being a coward to a hero to a serious WTF badass leader and to a great king in the end, It would have been better if Shu went with Inori in the end, Instead of his current state :/. OH WELL!! Great Anime! overall.

It was....nice, but i didn't liked it after *Spoiler* Shu lost his arm *Spoiler end* after that, to me, the whole anime became so confused and just not enough good for me, the ending wasn't the best, but i was okay with this anime.

I do agree. Everything, the graphic, their voicing, and musics are amazing, but when it comes to the storyline it's rushed. Even so, it is still my favorite. I think that the writer for Code Geass also wrote this. Am I right?
