In no particular order...

-The World God Only Knows
-Lucky Star (Turn your brain off for maximum enjoyment)
-This one is personal opinion, but if you can stomach something more mature, Koe de Oshigoto! is gold, though I'd go for the manga on this one...
-My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute! (Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai)
-Ouran High School Host Club can be funny. Nowhere near Baka and Test levels, more like Disney funny, but worth watching.
-Anything with Rie Kugimiya in it tends to have at least one really good laugh, though usually not a comedy series (i.e. Toradora!, Persona 4 The Animation, The Familiar of Zero)
-Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu (Don't even need to watch the first season. Just skip to it and laugh until your side is sick of being held)

Those are my first thoughts. Not exactly "Top" Comedy, but good places to start. If better comedy comes to mind, I'll be back.

Welcome to the NHK.Funniest anime I've ever seen.It goes by without the moe romance crap or the slapstick.The original novel is depressing as hell though, but the anime is really comedic.Be sure to watch the English dub, because the original Japanese voice actor kinda sucks since he was kinda a newbie VA when he went into Welcome to the NHK.His English dubber has been in way more animes and sounds more funny compared to the unenthusiastic voice of the original.

The World God Only Knows - Basically a video gamer is teamed up with a cute demon girl to hunt down lose souls and the only way to capture them is by filling the gaps in girls hearts by making them (the girls) fall in love with him(surprisingly no harems are formed).

Persona 4 - A bit more serious tone but I guarantee a very good laugh. It's about a city boy who moves to the country and he hears a rumor about this Midnight Channel and checks it out and he discovers he's able to go into the T.V. The boy and friends want to solve a case of unsolved murders happening in town and work to find out the truth blah blah spoilers. Trust me its worth watching.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - It's so good that Haruhi has her own cult/religion called Haruhi-ism. Haruhi... well she's hard to explain but basically she's an extreme weirdo, with good looks of course and Kyon(story is told from his pov) is dragged into her club to look for aliens, time travelers, and espers, Shes into those kind of things (Fun times ensured) . This anime was originally aired out of order so depending on how you watch it you may or may not be confused at some parts. I recommend you watch them out of order though because the shows more interesting that way.

Senyuu - It's one of those three-minute shows, but it's still worth a look.
GJ-bu - slice of life, yay!
Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They? - This show is a shounen, but it's still funny! If you can't find it searching the title in English, search "Mondaiji".
YuruYuri - Another slice of life... Why am I so attracted to these.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - I know this one is old, but it's funny! I swear I laughed! Honestly!

Polar Bear Cafe - Pretty fun anime.As you can see from the title, it's about a polar bear who runs the cafe.The series actually seems to focus on a teenage panda bear who is obsessed with his cuteness.My favorite character's probably the polar bear, for his puns and his calmness.Half the time, he just doesn't care.Almost every scene is screenshot worthy, since the images are just hilarious.Honestly, you can probably just go into a random spot in an episode and find a funny image.

Did I also mention that the guy that voiced Shizuo is a llama in the show and that the guy that voiced Izaya is a penguin?

My recommendation is MM! - Its about a masochistic boy who goes to this club to cure himself of his fetish, its got a catchy opening song too, and plenty of anime references, its the best feel good anime ive seen since GTO

I think the funniest one I have seen would probably be either Himegoto or Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. They are both one of the newer anime that just recently finished so it might be hard to find dubbed, but if you don't mind that then I went on the internet to animedreaming.tv and watched them there, they were really funny to me.
