If anyone didnt know, the brand new Black Rock Shooter 8 episode series begins airing tomorrow! Anyone else as excited as I am?? ^^

I've never heard of it, but it sounds pretty cool.

Look up "Black Rock Shooter OVA" on goodanime.net and watch it. Or if you live in Japan like me you can buy the LE dvd that's only 1900 yen. It's in Yokosuka; go to the Mikasa mall and go into the Book-Off store. When you enter go to the back-right corner on the first floor. They got one left and it's kinda hard to find, fucking worth it though; it's got English subtitles on it too.

I saw the first episode and I can´t wait for the second one! The animation and the storyline is different though...but it´s still awesome. It´s a pity that it´s getting only 8 episodes...and pretty weird, because most of the shorter anime have at least 12 or 13 eps.

Ive been waiting for this series ever since it was first announced >.<

I really like the idea of everyone having different personas of themselves literally acting out their emotional pain in a different world (ie BRS getting the crap beaten out of her when Mato was sad).

At first I was really confused because I thought that this anime was a continuation of the OVA lol.
But yeah this series is pretty good, but as of now I think the OVA is a lot better.

OVA is pretty good, and there isn't supposed to be alot of action, if you can look past that lack of action its a really amazing show ^^

So this is my impression on the first episode (I also wrote this on goodanime.net under the name TrustMe so im not plagiarizing my own work or anything).

I have been looking forward to this anime for years, and it’s finally here! So here are my thoughts about the first episode.
I really found the timing of this anime to be pretty bad, it’s constantly jumping to one seen after another and is a quick mood changer; which throws off it’s “balance” so to speak (it’s annoying to see that in anime). However that is my only complaint. The setting, script, powerful emotions, and music were well put together in this first episode. Overall this episode gets a 7/10, if the timing was better it would have got a 10/10, so I really hope they can fix that in the next episode (maybe they want to rush it in-order to tell the story in full since it’s only planed to be an 8 episode series; but for a fan like me that’s no excuse). Im looking forward to the next episode and suggest all of you to keep watching as well.

i love the ending song =) i saw this OVA a few years ago and fell in love with it. good show =)

I actually liked it, I kept seeing AMV's with it in there. It always caught my eye and I liked the animation. There were a few parts that confused me a bit but I did like how it showed that other world and the events leading up to it.

But on the other hand maybe this could be a good style for some of the other Otakus like myself out there, we want to get to the point and listen to some details but at the same time hate and love being left at a hanging point at the same time.

The episode was great in my opinion, for sure a 9/10 but tye only thing that caught me was that there wasn't much of a hanger at the end, no reason to want to watch the next episode (not saying I don't want to), there was no anxiety of "what's gonna happen next" or "what the hell just happened?!"
I am impressed with the story they came up with but hope to be left in shock and awe at the end of the next episode ^^

Watched episode 1 and 2 the day before yesterday.
I don't know if I like the BRS animation (the animation in the BRS world)
But I think it is nice...
Like the little, colorfull birdy ;)
And I like that psycho-girl (forget her name)
Especially in the BRS-World where she have that crown xD

I found this in Akihabara today, when I saw it I had this idea to take a photo of Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master sitting on her hands; and it turned out to be pretty cute!
Im looking forward to seeing the new episode on Friday; and I hope to see Strength in it too.

i have watched all episodes of the new anime .. I had never seen any of the franchises stuff before but I find it kinda fascinating, mainly in regards to what the heck the other world is .... In the first few eps I thought it was just some kind of representation of the girls internal struggles but I dont think thats correct lol

Yay the new episode is out! I'll have to watch it tomorrow since my boss worked me overtime today and I got a headache.

So I watched the new episode today anyway. Fucking wow... this anime knows how to capture the feelings of fear and suffering. It just totally blows my mind. Did anyone else get pissed off that we now have to wait a week before we get to see THEM in action? *trying now to spoil anything*

I think I may have finally gotten the point in the second world! Maybe thats exactly what it is, Black Rock Shooter is fighting the defeat her friends "inner demons" of sorts? Not sure thought ^^; Just a rough thought on it!

So what is the difference between the old ova and the new one? I just watched it today. I finished one that was a movie I guess? It was like 59 minutes long. Now im watch Black Rock Shooter (TV) on animefreak.tv and it only has 5 episodes. I find it really interesting, but I'm kinda confused on the episode layout

Saw the new episode, it was OMG amazing! I was at a total loss of words when I saw it; it was just absolutely amazing! It sucks for me though; im not going to comeback to Japan for 6 weeks so I won't be able to see the rest of it. This is going to be the most painful 6 weeks of my life orz

BTW if anyone is interested they are making a DVD and Blu-Ray box set for this anime set to release on 6/22. It also comes with a figure and soundtrack; but it's 28,000 yen. Preorderd mine in Japan already.

It was an alright anime .. Nothing really changed in it though, like the only development in it was really that the girls learn't to fight there own battles and not allow others to take any all the burden onto themselves.

OMFG THAT WAS FUCKING GENIUS! I have to say that BRS is one of the most brilliant animes out there. I see from the posts that many of you are confused about the plot but you'll understand it if you keep watching. Anyway just wow, BRS is fucking amazing; im so happy to have seen it. An anime to remember forever!

Was the TV version of BRS as good as the OVA? I thought the OVA was pretty cool but it was waaaay too short.

What does the other world(the world with BRS, Strength etc.) do? What does it mean? I'm just wondering because it's quite a random scene out of the whole series. :L Is it her inner self-esteem? O_o Sorry!!
