The Boondocks is a social satire of African American culture and race relations revolving around the lives of the Freeman family: ten-year-old Huey, his younger brother, eight-year-old Riley, and their grandfather, Robert.
The Freeman family, having recently moved from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois to the peaceful suburb of Woodcrest, find different ways to cope with this acute change in setting as well as the drastically different suburban cultures and lifestyles to which they are exposed. The perspective offered by this mixture of cultures, lifestyles, and races provides for much of the comedy in this series.

Heh, this show is hilarious. Used to watch it when I was waiting for anime, or something. Huey's one of my favorite characters, just because he doesn't act stereotypically black. It's funny.
Riley's my favorite ghetto character though, I remember that one episode where he dressed up like a girl, wearing that skirt, purse, etc, all due to... Who was it, Gangstalicious? I forgot a bit.

Can't Believe that this is the first Boondocks thread. As people have said before, this show it hilarious. It's also got some cool action elements. For example the battle with Stinkmeaner. I recommend this show for anyone who can handle lots of swearing and stereotypes. Also, this isn't a show parents would exactly "Approve" of.

This show is one of my favorite cartoons. It has a strong influence from old-school anime. However, my favorite part of the show is the satire, especially when the satire reflects the whole of American culture, such as how the episode featuring "the fried chicken flu" criticized how America over-reacts to pretty much every new disease or doomsday prediction.

This show obviously combines all the good things in anime: action, comedy, and so much more. Some episodes like the one where Riley joins the Lethal Interjection Crew, shows that everyone things they need to be a part of something to be cool.
