It's actually a good show in comparison to other children's shows. Yeah, I like the show. No, I don't support bronies shoving the show down other people's throats.

I can understand why people try to stay away from this series. I am a brony, but there are some people who take this whole thing a little too far, as Ezry has pointed out. Those people honestly don't deserve the title of brony. What they do is just bottom line disgusting, less than human.

But in all, the series is really good. Looking at it compared to most other cartoons nowadays I can't help but think that this is a breath of fresh air. Morals, lessons, comedy, and tragedy. It has all of the elements of a good cartoon, its just the extremist few who give it a bad name.

But the show has been hyped all to shit. Theres no denying it. Because of the brony fan base, the internet almost literally exploded. It is because of those same fans who give the word brony a sour taste. I've been trying to act like a normal-ish kind of person, taking an approach to the show among social situations with subtle pride. I like the show and I love the brony population, but sometimes they go about it all wrong.

Some bronies do try and shove the show down another person's throat. Or when they hear that someone hates it, they fly off the handle and start proclaiming that every pony hater is going to freeze in the coldest pits of hell. This in turn causes the person on trial to hate even more and come back with slander and harsh names.

Its a freakin' cycle I would like to break, but no one wants to work with me. I can respect why Ezry doesn't like the show, he doesn't like the show itself from a professional stand point and he hates the fans because they act insane 99% of the time.

Now I can geek out like the rest of us when it comes to this show. I have favorite characters and I can enjoy the memes and inside jokes. Not to mention my love for the legions of original stories and music that was spawned from this show. But that doesn't make me a god damn "ponyfucker".

I just read a short fic that was pretty funny. A common issue with fim-fics is writing Pinkie Pie as she is portrayed in the show. It's nearly impossible. But this guy decided to write out a story in which he has a conversation with "The Pink". Really short, but if anyone is having trouble with Pinkie, this helps more than you know.

Sweet, MLP thread. Shame it got off to a rough start...I guess it was unavoidable though. These fights break out everywhere. It's a good show, and there's a lot about the community around it that has made me a happier human being. Still, I can't help but feel that it's up to people to see its merits for themselves, and judge whether those outweigh its flaws (sure, it's got flaws. Several. I could point to animation errors or common plot threads, but it's just original and funny enough to make me not care. Personally, I've found the best starting point to be "Dragonshy", episode 7. Show anyone who's curious about the show that episode. It's a good showcase of standard episode fare without getting too far into the continuity and getting the newcomer even more lost.

From a stand point of quality, I would say it's actually a good show. It has subtle hints of sarcasm and portrays more of a satirical humor. Probably for the many parents out there who are forced to watch the show with their little ones. :D It also has high-quality voice-acting and some famous actors, John de Lancie from Star Trek Next Gen for example. So try to look at it perspectively guys. That's all. :)

Not sure if this should go in Literature or not, but I figured I'd help to keep the bronies out of everyone else's hair to help avoid any conflict.

I'm working on a massive fanfiction project for this show. The story is about the mounting battle against the Celestian Empire and the Lunar Republic. However, I need more characters than the show can provide (like I said, massive). The story will be a grimdark tragedy consisting of swords and magic. It will contain gratuitous violence as well as adult themes and language.

After I crunched the numbers I noted I needed at least 25 more characters to really get the end result I was looking for. To be honest, before I watched it I thought it was the girlies thing in the world. At first I thought, "All the guys watching this must be watching it as a dare, or something." Watching the intro to the show, I was basically proven right. But as I continued to watch, I stopped trying to make fun of it, and I genuinely started liking it. One episode lead to another, and it clings to you.
All in all, I thought it was the stupidest, girliest, most retarded thing on television before I watched it. I wanted it to fail, so I wouldn't be wrong. But after watching it, I can't help but admire the work these animators put into the job. The episodes can be really funny, and it doesn't mind making fun of itself at times.
Later, I became involved in the fandom, and met a really nice community. Sure there is always rule 34 (ALWAYS), but that's unavoidable.
I am proud to be part of a community that (generally speaking) accepts and tolerates all opinions, and was honestly surprised that such a fandom existed.
Sorry for my rant, but if you are curious, give it a shot! Just know that nobody here will judge you for it. ;D

Also, you might want to replace the word "drop" with a stronger term, like die, or vanish if your trying to give him some flourish. Also, might want to change the wording of the hot feeling inside of him. Celestia is known for her wise judgement, and not for her abruptness. Perhaps it would integrate better if, say, Twilight Sparkle was kidnapped by people saying they were part of the Lunar Republic? Then you could set up a conspiracy or just roll with it. Always good to have options.

Not sure what the curse thing specifically did. One sentence the curse is brought down, and the next everyone's in agony. Care to explain? DId it change them from ponies into humans? It's rather hazy. Also, you might want to come up with some tangible form for it; be it wind, lightning, or the like. People read easier if their given something tangible to grasp on to.

Notes: IT seems in the beginning that the story is overly biased against the celestial forces, perhaps too much so. Either you can continue on as is and be pro-Lunar, make small edits, or perhaps tell some pro-Celestial arguments later? Up to you. Also, great work building the OC! Starlight seems quite well rounded, although I do have to say I am eager to see more of the contrast between his serious attitude and his neighborly side. Surprisingly, there weren't many errors (considering how long the first chapter is!) Great work, and keep us updated on when the new chapter's out!

so today was another funny day for me. I wore my new brony sirt to school and all my friends liked it.One friend told me to keep my jacket open so I can show my brony pride, another brohoofed me in the hall. Also One friend was even wearing the same shirt, but it just made it fun and one of my non brony friends loved the shirt. But i did get some hate, one girl said only gay guys like ponies. Also I went to McDonald's for dinner and I saw a bronny but a kids, he got rarity.

My friend is a manager at McDonalds and he got me all 8 of the MLP toys :)

Neltharion was a good black Wyrm who went crazy and ended up transformed into a killing machine of a dragon, named Deathwing. Luna was a pony who was overshadowed and overcome by bitterness, who transformed into Nightmare Moon and wreaked havoc, plunging the world into darkness. All in all a well thought out crossover, and very well done overall.

So why not make it look badass? I mean, thats the same as taking something you qualify badass and drawing it cute. It's all artist interpretation and originality. I've seen plenty of zombie ponies or badass/gorey MLP pictures that are well executed, and well thought out.
On the other hand, I've also seen plenty of badass dragons, like Deathwing for instance, who look absolutely adorable in a cute style, and the picture itself is well thought out.
Final Fantasy Fables is a good example of something that can be considered badass turning cute (like Bahamut and all those sick monsters as adorable crayon drawings in magical popup books).

As an artist I don't see a problem with either transition of style. If it's well done it's well done.

Yet again I had another funny day, so I took a test on line to see which pony I am. I'm Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie and ironically my friend brought to school the fluttershy and Pinkie Pie McDonald kids meal toys. Also my friend asked a jock if he liked ponies, he said no and I said he wasn't a real man. I also told my dad that I'm a brony and surprisingly he was cool with it.

Also my sister says she might be a pegasister, but she said shed never watch the show.

I watched The episode "Its about time" with my older sister and she smiled, I think shes slowly becoming a pegasister. I also went back to Walmarts and bought a Rainbow dash and two more blind bags.
I discovered a secret to finding out what pony is in them. There's a little hole that goes threw both sides of the bag. If you can get it near the hole and see the color and feel the shape. It worked for me I was right and got an Apple Jack, but it takes a while and you look stupid or look like your trying to steal it.

Also what would you recommend as a wallpaper for my computer, I preferably want some thing with twilight sparkle ,rainbow dash, or a cute Princess Luna.
