Dexter's Laboratory (commonly abbreviated as Dexter's Lab) is an American animated television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky and produced by Cartoon Network Studios (also co-produced with Hanna-Barbera from 1996-2001). The show is about a boy named Dexter who has an enormous secret laboratory filled with an endless collection of his inventions. The series premiered in the United States on Cartoon Network on April 28, 1996 and ended on November 20, 2003. As of 2006, Cartoon Network's sister channel Boomerang now reruns the show.

The series initially debuted on the What-a-Cartoon show as a cartoon short and later became the first of said program to be adapted into its own series, as well as Cartoon Network's second original television series (after Space Ghost: Coast to Coast). Each 22-minute episode consists of two to three segments (with the exception of the initial series finale). Dexter's Laboratory originally ended in 1998 after two seasons, but it was later revived for a TV movie, and, even later, two more seasons.

I love Dexter, REALLY good cartoon, one of my favourites from childhood. I just saw an episode last night at like 4pm, the one where computer shuts down and Dexter tries to generate energy for it to repair xD.

Question: I remember watching this cartoon with the drawing style of the picture in >>1 first, but then they changed it to a more "dramatic" style witch I didn't like (picture: http://lavafun.com/data/thumbnails/59/28/fa121380.jpg).
This second style was from the 2 later seasons?

Yeah, I'm think it was changed in the two later seasons. I'm not sure though, as my memory is pretty bad. It's been so long, and corrupted by horrible cartoons...

I never really saw much of Dexter's Lab, seeing as I first got more than basic cable around when this ended. I like Tartakovsky's stuff though. Maybe I should check this out...

Oh yeah I remember Dexter's Laboratory. It was pretty good and at times a bit random. I also like how Dexter's monkey was secretly a superhero.

You know after re-watching some episodes of the show, it's still good. But it got me thinking, should Dexter's Rude Removal be available to us for viewing? For those that don't know, Dexter's Rude Removal was an episode where Dexter would take out his and Deedee's rude selves and the rude ones would constantly cuss until everything went back to normal. It sounds like a funny episode but it never aired (and rumor is that Cartoon Network did plan on airing the episode but pulled out last minute). I would like to watch the episode seeing as how it's been years and they only showed it at certain conventions years ago (and it can't be found anywhere online). It doesn't have to be shown on TV but it could at least be shown somewhere like the internet or maybe even a special DVD set of the series. What do you guys think? Should we be given a chance to view Dexter's Rude Removal?

>>10 Are you sure they never aired it? I remember watching it, but they didn't really curse. I remember them using normal words as if they were curse words.

I could be remembering wrong. Still... it sounds oddly familiar o-O'

>>11 I'm sure it's real. Well do you remember the name of the episode you watched? If you do that would be helpful. Or at least anything that happened in that episode anyway.

I looked it up, and you're right that it was never aired. I guess I'm just thinking of a different episode. It's been a long time since I last watched it :O

Ahh, I miss the good old days when Cartoon Network still had its edge (not to mention a better logo). No actually, not just Cartoon Network, I swear that cartoons have gotten crappier over the years, and it's not just because I'm older. I really pity the children of today.

I miss the old cartoon network.I dont understand why they keep playing live action movies on a station for toons only. Then they play horrible shows on top of that.(sigh)Sorry cartoon network but i watch "Boomerang" now.

all this new crap came on in 2007, when cartoon network got a new president. And,this guy had the retarded sense to take toonami off the air. If you want to know why the old president quit, look up Boston Bomb Scare on wikipedia.

I want to say something completely irrelevant to this thread,
My real name is Dexter and I cannot even begin to explain how many times people tell me to watch this show. I've seen every episode atleast 3 times now.

Okay I know this has been out for a while, but the unaired episode of Dexter's Laboratory, "Rude Removal" is now watchable since Adult Swim put the censored version on their Youtube page. I thought it was pretty funny and I wonder if this means more episodes from other shows that weren't aired will become available to watch soon.
