Ed, Edd n Eddy is an original animated television series created by Danny Antonucci and produced by Canadian-based a.k.a. Cartoon. It premiered on Cartoon Network on January 4, 1999. Ed, Edd n Eddy was one of Cartoon Network's longest running and most successful franchises and the longest-running of the channel's original Cartoon Cartoons. The series revolved around three adolescent boys collectively known as "the Eds," who hang around in a suburban cul-de-sac. Unofficially led by Eddy, the Eds constantly scheme to make money off their peers, in order to purchase their favorite confectionery: jawbreakers. However, their plans usually fail, leaving them in various predicaments. The series' finale movie, Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show aired on November 8, 2009, officially ending the series, however reruns continued to air on the network until July 1, 2011.

Ed, Edd n Eddy revolves solely around the Eds, the other cul-de-sac children, and the Kanker sisters. The series takes place within the fictional town of Peach Creek and new locations are rarely introduced. The number of characters in Ed, Edd n Eddy is fixed at twelve.

I was fixing to make my own thread until I found this one. This is what I lived for as a kid. I remember seeing this almost everyday when I was young.

I'd really love for more people to add to this thread.
Ed, Edd n' Eddy was by far THE best cartoon that was ever showed on Cartoon Network.

WEll I don't exzactly agree with you people. The Old shows should be put on some other place like boomerang. But not the official one. They were gold shows! Let them die with dignity!
INSTEAD LET CREATOR MAKE NEW STUFF THAT ARE ACTUALLY CARTOONS!

"INSTEAD LET CREATOR MAKE NEW STUFF THAT ARE ACTUALLY CARTOONS!"

This... Isn't cartoons? And not everyone can afford to get whatever it is you get to access boomerang, or some other channel. Or at least that was how it was a long time ago, you had to buy some stuff to get boomerang, not sure how it is now. I'm outdated and old.

I'm happy they still show the reruns.

38 Name: Testarossa : 2012-02-28 12:35 ID:TuoViv2P [Del]

Man, this show looks so weird now that I watch it again. When, I was little I never really noticed the moving and shaky lines. (Which is odd, because I have sharp eyes and I used to watch this show religiously ._.) Seriously, what is up with those lines? So weeeeiiiird ;;

39 Name: Misuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2012-02-28 15:09 ID:k4oTvNU/ [Del]

>>38 My guess is that each frame was roughly hand-drawn over the last. In more traditional animation styles, sometimes they're inaccurate like this in a stylisic way - other times, they're relatively seamless, like in the old Looney Tunes shows.

Nowadays, with CGI and other technological methods of improving animation quality, I'd assume it's only seen anymore when it's done on purpose.

40 Name: Testarossa : 2012-02-28 18:17 ID:TuoViv2P [Del]

>>39 That was probably it.... and is likely why I didn't notice it 'til later.... ^^;

>>38 just watched an episode yesterday and noticed the same thing. It Looks kind of cool though because it gives Ed, Edd n Eddy their own unique art style

One of my friends asked me if I ever saw Ed, Edd n Eddy. I told him "The fact that you even know of this show makes you 80% cooler in my book."

44 Name: Umbra Serpens !T1rQ1UNnww : 2012-02-29 09:57 ID:F1RHKcah [Del]

Oh, my childhood. I remember demanding a jawbreaker from my parents, getting disappointed at the greatly reduced size, despite knowing that one the size of a boulder would never fit in my mouth.

45 Name: bang-bang : 2012-02-29 13:10 ID:zeet2RWG [Del]

You know, the idea of a 'jawbreaker', when I was watching this show in english, which isn't my native language, at age 7 was a really confusing thing lol. I didn't really know it was a type of candy so I have no idea how I managed to make sense of it in my mind. And taking the meaning literally makes it sound really unpleasant.

That was basically me and most Cartoon Network shows when I was little though. And then I watched them again later and had giant epiphanies.

46 Name: Richiekun : 2012-02-29 17:26 ID:HGM3DfZT [Del]

ed, edd, eddy the show that got an entire generation of children addicted to jawbreakers

47 Name: Misuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2012-02-29 17:34 ID:k4oTvNU/ [Del]

>>44 Ah man, same thing happened to me. So disappointed.

Now, given, the damned thing was still huge enough it hurt my jaw, but I wanted it to fucking distort my face to ridiculous proportions too.

I mean, did you see them sometimes? Their ear would end up about two feet outwards from their head!

That's something I always liked about the show - the blatant disregard for form. Not just generic cartoon anatomy, but shit was frequently inconsistent in the best ways.

48 Name: Testarossa : 2012-03-01 02:04 ID:TuoViv2P [Del]

Yeah, but how would you eat one that big? The only ways I can think of involve a chisel ._.
