SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series, created by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg. Much of the series centers on the exploits and adventures of the title characterand his various friends in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. As of 2011, SpongeBob SquarePants is the only Nicktoon from the 1990s that has not ended yet. The show is listed 15th in IGN's top 100 animated series list. It is also known for being one of Nickelodeon's longest running TV shows.

I've been watching this show since i was 2. i wasn't there for the first few episodes but i have seen the rest.

i used 2 watch the show and it was pretty good. but then it went downhill after some years

i think that the new episodes arent as good as the old. ah good childhood memories~

It was good at first, then went down in terms of quality to maximize profit and cater to the young population, much like how other childhood animes/shows like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Beyblade ended up.

Still love the episode where squidward becomes addicted to krabby patties and tries to break into the krusty krab, and the security system is a bucket of oil and a match.

Wow... this series was actually inspired by marine biologists? How could Nickelodeon fuk it up this badly? the best way to describe my view of it was Carlos Mencia's tsunami joke. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lNeCvuORvk&feature=related )

But then again, I wasn't privy to this show while growing up.

This show used to actually be pretty cool. Even clever. Adults could even enjoy it.

Despite it being a cartoon, Spongebob is pretty deep. u__u

I think it's intended for an audience a bit older. That's only because of the dark humor though. I remember coming home from school to watch this show. Hell, I still watch Spongebob when I'm bored. That creepypasta about Squidward just threw me off a bit. The new episodes aren't as bad as everyone says, but in comparison, it is a bit lacking.

I miss when it wasn't crappy. The pilot episode was my favorite. (As in the start)

The Camping Episode and Graveyard Shift were my favorite episodes. Snowball effect was pretty good, too.

omg I laugth a lot with thuis programm ¡¡¡ I love it

I used to watch this along with Animaniacs and Darkwing Duck as a kid, though I feel like the newer SpongeBob episodes they bring out recently aren't as great as they were when they first started. Still a funny cartoon though. ^_^
