This is insertnamehere to bring you a new thread to the newly renamed Animation board. Time to start putting in western cartoons alongside our eastern ones. And what else but to make a thread for a classic, Tom & Jerry! Here's a short plot synopsis of it, from wikipedia!

Plot: The series features comedic fights between an iconic set of enemies, a house cat and mouse. The plots of each short usually center on Tom's numerous attempts to capture Jerry and the mayhem and destruction that ensues. Since Tom rarely attempts to eat Jerry and because the pair actually seem to get along in some cartoon shorts, and they sometimes even put their differences aside whenever they have to, it is sometimes unclear why Tom chases Jerry so much. Sorry it's a bit shitty, I'm sorry Tom & Jerry!

I can still remember a few episodes that were my favorites from years ago. I'm not even sure if it's still airing. I really feel bad for the children today, they pretty much missed out on all of the good cartoons. Even Spongebob, it was one of the most retarded/and at the same time, hilarious cartoons I remember. The newer episodes are a bit mediocre, (IMO)

Back on Topic, you can't forget Spike! He was the bulldog that hunted Tom down for anything stupid he did!
In fact, I think Spike + Tom's relationship is a bit like the newbies and older members here o_0.

I think I saw some airing during the dead time for people going to school, eg. somewhere around 8:00 am-2:00 pm PST. So for those that stay at home during those time, they probably watch it.

Even though most of the episodes I started to see after a while were repeats, you can't really go wrong with the slapstick antics that happened every episode. It had replay value.

Because of that, I would always associate hours of Tom and Jerry, along with other Looney Toons shows, with being sick or having weekdays off of school. Odd thing to associate, maybe, but that was really the only time I got to watch so much of it.

Man, this show.... it was like... the only thing on when I was sick. However, despite having video games I could have been playing I just sat there watching it mindlessly. It was so hypnotically entertaining.
