I like the economic twist in this series; though it isn't pulled off flawlessly, it's original and interesting. Holo and Lawrence have interesting character dynamics and balance each other well. Even the characters who can be classified into predictable stereotypes have an element of depth that makes them fun to watch. I really enjoyed it on the whole.

For Those who don't know, Spice and Wolf is a story of a traveling merchant, Lawrence, who visits a town that celebrates a pagan festival in honor of Holo, the wise wolf. She is said to be the bringer of fortune when it comes to the wheat harvest, and she is said to hide in the wheat. Being a Merchant, Lawrence was peddling a different type of wheat, and discovers a girl in his wagon, who claims to be Holo. Together, they travel North, to return her to her home that she left hundreds of years ago, but not before running into trouble along the way.

This show, in my opinion, is awesome. Sure its not action packed like claymore or Barney &Friends, but its still awesome.

I heard the dub for this series was good, but as I watched it when it was only a sub - I wouldn't know.
Personally, I'd say sub just because I have experience with it and know that Horo's VA is superb.
Besides, Lawrence is Lelouche.

I liked this series, but I never stopped wondering... WHY IS SHE ALWAYS NAKED?? I mean yes she's a wolf diety, but she could atleast wear clothes now and then, or atleast be able to transform(or whatever you call it) with some on Oh well. Not my problem.

Wolves are naturally naked - They have fur. The whole "clothing" thing probably feels really awkward for her. Thankfully, Spice and Wolf plays it off as an artful kind of nudity - Rather than "here, have fanservice!"
Most fanart tends to reflect that, thankfully.
And transformations in Spice and Wolf are pretty logical. No clothing would survive that that stuff.
