Sousuke Sagara is a soldier of the international anti-terrorist organization Mithril. Along with two of his fellow soldiers, Weber and Mao, Sousuke is assigned to watch over Chidori Kaname, a Japanese high school student who is at high risk for being kidnapped by the KGB. While Mao and Weber maintain outside surveillance, Sousuke is tasked with keeping an eye on her while posing as her classmate! Despite being an expert at maintaining the most intense of combat situations, Sousuke is completely inept when it comes to correctly carrying out the life of an average high school boy.
I watched the first seven episodes of FMP today, and I find it to be AMAZING! It effortlessly takes the tension of military operation and the comedy of high-school-based anime and mashes it into an epic sci-fi/action/slightly romantic adventure. It's pretty short (the first season is 24 episodes), so if you can find a little time to fit it into your schedule, definitely check it out!

I loved this anime. It combines my taste for Mecha+Action and School+Romance+Comedy amazingly. I wish there were more animes like this.

Eh, it reminded me of an Armor Core game with a little bit better story. Quite honestly I don't care much for it. And to me the high school aspect clashed with military aspect.

I have to admit, this is definitely in my top 5 list of anime. As stated in the one of the above posts it blends: action, comedy, romance, high school, mecha, and drama perfectly! A very well done project, and I'm disappointed that there is no season 4. I guess I will have to pick up the novel, or manga or whatever. This anime is definitely worth any ones time.
