Sola's story revolves around Yorito Morimiya, the main protagonist, who is a young boy attending high school. He loves taking pictures of the sky at any time of day and any time of the year. One day, Yorito decides to take a picture of the sunrise overlooking the bay, but is deterred when he meets a strange girl trying to force a vending machine that stole her money to give her what she tried to buy—a can of tomato juice. Yorito helps her with forcing the machine while attempting to strike up conversation with her, despite it being four in the morning. Yorito tells her why he is here, but by the time he has forced the can out of the machine, the girl has mysteriously vanished.

I went through but didn't see anyone post anything about sola, so I decided to since it is a great anime. It kinda has that Key feel to it, like Kanon, Air, Clannad. That being said it isn't one of key's works.

I recommend it to those who love a good drama, fantasy, comedy, and romance. It has only 13 episodes, so it is a decent sized anime. (Though I wish it were longer. eheh)

I have my own review on the anime located in the url below. It also includes a site where you can watch it for free. There is only a subbed version, as it has yet to be licensed by America.

I was always in disagreement about whether to refer to this show as "Sola" or "Sora". It's heavily influenced by sky themes, and the engrish for "Sola" is "Sora", which essentially equates to "Sky"...

But most official sources I found say it's Sola - Which could also be a reference to the sun. So I don't know whether the title is an ascended typo, or just ambiguous like that...

Either way, this was a nice series to watch. I enjoyed the calm exchanges that carried the series through - It had very little exciting emotion in it, and felt a lot more like a casual relationship built on conversation. A refreshing change from the "will they or won't they?!" and artificial romance challenges that you often end up seeing.
