The series centers on the life of Hideki Motosuwa, a held-back student attempting to qualify for university by studying at Seki prep school in Tokyo. Besides a girlfriend, he dreams of having a persocom (パソコン?): an android used as a personal computer, which is expensive. On his way home one evening, he stumbles across a persocom in the form of a beautiful girl with long hair lying against a pile of trash bags, and he carries her home, not noticing a disk fell on the ground. Upon turning her on, she instantly regards Hideki with adoration. The only word the persocom seems capable of saying is "chi" (ちぃ, Chii?), thus he names her that. Hideki assumes that there must be something wrong with her....

Ah, Chobits. Always happy to see this series when it pops up. Just cheers me up after a lousy day to hear the words "Hideki is a pervert!", ya know?
And am I the only person that noticed that the anime gets less perverted as the show goes on? Can't speak for the manga, since I haven't finished it yet...

Mmmmmmmm bump.
Only watched 7 ep so far, but it really is interesting in a way that it makes you think a little.
its not super funtasmic actionpacked show with twists n turns at every stop, but its still good enough to pass inspection so far.
its got a simple plot as far as i can tell, with no real splintering away from it. There are some comedic elements to it, but not enough to make you start giggling to yourself n make your family think your crazy. More of one of those serious type with a humorous thing here n there. So far i am enjoying it, the dub its half bad, and its on netflix. As you can tell by the number of comments this has, it probably isnt to popular, but if you stick with it im sure youll enjoy it.

To be honest, I didn't like how he confessed at the end. I feel like he did it with half-assed feelings.. :/
