Oh man, Let me start by saying this show is fucking awesome. Alright, here goes.

In the near future, a violent battle takes place between the dimension La'cryma (protector of humanity) and the dimension Shangri-La, bent on the annihilation of all space-time. A group known as the Dragon Calvary is dispatched through space and time, searching for the only thing that can stop the invasion: the Dragon's Torque.

In the present, twelve-year old Haruka and her friend Yuu, are contemplating running away from home when they meet a member of the Dragon Calvary named Karasu (Crow). He believes that Haruka possesses the Dragon's Torque and claims to be Yuu from fifteen years in the future..

After completing Noein, I was left with the sensation you rarely get after finishing a series or movie where you personally think almost every little thing was done just right(i.e. Katanagatari, GTO, Gurren Lagann). Seriously I was hooked on the first episode, and it dragged me through the whole series in one sitting.

What I really liked about this series was the fucking badass art style that it pulled off, and its character-driven action, as opposed to the usual plot-driven action coupled with less than appealing characters. The characters, oh man, were so fleshed out and their relationships and backgrounds so completely delved into, I had grown to feel like they were real people I knew. This was further effective in the juxtaposition that was utilized between future and present selves of these characters (which I won't go any further into to avoid spoilers). The development of relationships between the characters was really convincing as well.. Shit, all in all, this series did it for me. I had been waiting for something that would entertain me this much for a long time. Check it out if you want to watch something awesome. Lemme know what ya think.

I think I've heard of this before, but I don't know where. Was it ever on Adult Swim at some point? Either way, it's got Freeman and Lowenthal, so it's going to be worth watching.

I don't think it was ever on adult swim. If it was, then I have missed so much... Owell, yeah, its a great show.

Oh, I remember. I saw a previews on SyFy after Gurren Lagann once, but since I was about to go to sleep, I forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me I need to watch this.

oh so mael watched noein. i had seen it a while ago and immediately had my little sit down and watch it with me my seconded time so i could have someone to talk to about it. doesn't exactly have the best buzz though. no one i seem to talk to has ever heard of it. but if you stick it out to the end, you'll definitely think it is worth it.

This series is completely amazing. It's the only series that I've been able to watch more than twice and not get bored.

OMG! I love this show its freaking awesome!! My mom just finished watching and she also loved it. Although it can be somewhat confusing at times.... for me atleast.. :)

Lemme bump this shit back up. Great anime 9/10. Loved the art, animation, music, everything. The story was interesting. Loved the philosophy. The pacing continuously changes, but I like that style, so. The characters could use some work but were decent overall. Highly recommended.

This show is great, Kazuki Akane is a really good director. If you haven't seen it yet Barbs, I recommend his other show Birdy the Mighty: Decide. It's way less lamer than it's name is. (It's actually one of my all time favorite shows).
