Gotta be honest... The art style for this show put me off for the longest time, I watched the first 2 episodes, and even though i was very interested, and the plot was great, I couldn't bring myself to finish it... until recently.

A race of cannibal monsters called the Shokujinki exists and it is the job of the Kifuuken, an elite group of beast-hunters, to stop them. Toshihiko Momota, an expert swordsman and son of the Kifuuken organization's leader, unexpectedly falls in love at first sight with a beautiful girl named Yuka. However, the couple's relationship is much more complicated than it seems at first glance, for Yuka is a Shokujinki.

Alright so this series was three things to me... One, it was fucking badass. Two, it was crazy... and i mean, like 'wtf Japan' crazy, there were parts of the show where I literally had to pause the show, sit back, and try to understand wtf i just saw (LIKE THAT FUCKING KISS SCENE WTH). And three, it was unique, very unique in fact. It was a very interesting show to watch. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary and exciting...fuck it, watch this show anyway. Lemme know what you think.

Kemonozume is amazing, and very much unlike anything else I've ever watched. The only thing that comes even close would be The Tatami Galaxy, which was made by the same people. I wholeheartedly recommend both of them.

Also, "THAT FUCKING KISS SCENE WTH" that Mael speaks of can be viewed here and is in fact the very video clip that made me interested in watching the show in the first place. And don't worry, the clip is completely spoiler free.

I don't know if it makes me curious to watch the show. I consider my limit of accepted weirdness to be reasonably high, but is just way out there.

The show is really good though, I mean, its pretty fucking out there, but I think you would enjoy it.
